Hi Ian

Quite varied really... Ranging from 6.5 to 11.5.

I'd probably recommend 7.5 or 8.5 in your 22.

8.5 in my Durango, told i may need 6.5/7.5 on a bigger track. so if i was to replace i would get a 6.5 and turn it down for Thursdays.

I ran 10.5 for ages at DMS but now I am using an 8.5 but not sure it has made me much quicker.

Both me and my boys tried running 6.5, toooo snappy, we are now running 10.5, 13.5 and they are more than enough. Bare in mind that the lower the wind the more aggressive the acceleration which makes the back end snappy, the higher the turn its more controllable. Also check what pinion you are running against the motor turn as they will also vary.

We are all running 22's

Freddie Russel from what I know runs 8.5

The reason i am asking is that i currently run a 9T motor with a 22 pinion in my Losi 22 and i think its fine... But on my Xray touring car i have a 6.5 motor which i am going to change to my 13.5 for race reasons. i was thinking about putting the 6.5 into my 22 as it is a better motor.

but dont want it to be be a handfull.

Ian the "top" guys at the club (Kev, Andy, Freddie etc) will most commonly use a 7.5, so at present I would not suggest a 6.5 to "anyone" at the club

Can talk about it more on Thursday if you wish....
