Default Xray xb4 2014 or Sworkz S104 ek1

Hi

Im looking into getting a new buggy for racing and so far ive pinned it down to either the Xray XB4 2014 or the Sworkz S104 ek1. I was wandering what peoples thoughts on both cars are? What is it like for getting spares for both cars in the uk, easy enough or do I have to order from abroad? Do parts off older models fit the newer cars? Anything else I need to know about both cars?

Thanks

Jake

Hey there, we are the UK distributor for the S-Workz cars.
95% of parts on the shlf, if not more at the moment so no fears there.

Available for most shops to order if they dont already carry the parts.

XB4 all the way! Its a strong car. Easy to drive. Easy to maintain. RC Disco is the UK Distributor which means your local hobby shop should have spares. The XB4 is a race prooven car and is 2013 Euro Champion. I am running one right now and I havent changed anything from standard yet and I dont feel the need too and I am pushing the fastest guys in the UK around the track/surface I hate!

I recently sold my sworkz to get an xb4 '14. The sworkz is a great car, I found it very fun to drive because it is very aggressive. However, this isn't always the fastest way to get round a track and I'm definitely quicker over 5 mins with the xray, even if it doesn't feel it in comparison. However, I ran a bmax4 last season, I miss it and wouldn't rule out getting the new one before the summer

The only essential item is the cvd covers, eveything else will add very little, if any performance benefit. Money best spent on tyres and practice.

not true, literally everything parts and hopups wise is available from MB models. I run the xb4 last year, and am just building a BMAX4III. the sworks does look great though, again full spares available from MB models.

Good decision: it's strong, if not stronger than the xray, nice looking, high quality, easy to build and setup AND a lot cheaper...

It runs great, at the moment a little underrated I think. Being a new kid on the block this was to be expected. Hopefully that changes in the near future. that being said, I prefer it much over my Kyosho Lazer!!!

Agressive?! Yes and no, of course it's a little more aggressive than the average balldiff car but for a gear diff 4WD it is still very smooth!!! Good luck with it.

I'm sure the swordz is a good car , only ever seen one , and seemed to go quite well , and appently stronger than the xray , the only things that people have really broken on the xb4 , is the front bulkheads ( ive only broke one , out of 2 cars and almost a year ) apart from that i've not broke anything .. and i have my fair share of incidents

Most cars are pretty much the same nowadays , most of the things fail is due to peoples build errors ( xray diff gears come to mind ) , but find it far too easy to blame the car , rant over , just build it right in the first place .

my vote would had been for the xray

its built with 8th plastic, it is easily stronger than the xray.

only thing to break on the car so far is the front knuckle, which has already been revised so isnt going to break any more.

well i geuss we'll see soon enough , the xrays a tank , the swordz must be a armoured tank ..

I got hit by a shuey k1 , bits flew off everywhere ( snapped a shock shaft , wishbone off the k1 ) but the xray kept on going !!
