Ordered diy unit and the v8r4 receiver at 2 pm yesterday from T9 Hobbysport and arrived today...Awesome service and really helpful and friendly
An hour later it was in the 3vc and so far is spot on..Did a range test and turned back as couldnt see the car!
Will test at club tonight as to speed and feel..
Cheers again John

Nice one

Range is not an issue with these things

I've just started running the Frsky 4 channel RX with my Futaba 2.4 setup and I.m very impressed. I had to run a power cap with the Futaba RX and the thing was huge! Frsky RX will run on 3 volts so no need for a power cap and it's half the size. Not bad for a fifth of the price!

James.

So just to confirm. The frsky module works fine in the 3vc as well as the 3vcs but you can not run the hrs in the 3vc?
And the receivers work well with either the fasst system or the frsky one.

I have a 3VC, can I use the FrSky module in the TX together with 2 RX in 2 different cars or do I have to rebind everytime I switch cars (I hope not!)?
Thanks.

No, you just need to bind once for each receiver then you're set

The FRSky receivers work with either Futaba's 2.4 FASST system or the FRSky system. If you have a 3VC you will not be able to use HRS, like DCM says.

Well I ran the FrSky the weekend in my 3VC and it was all OK.
The 4 chan receivers are tiny and so light weight, makes the install easy. I just worry about the damp conditions as they are a bit open.

I will give it a good test in the TC on friday!
T9 super fast delivery and the price was spot on!

+1 to that. Ordered mine yesterday and received this morning. Tested in the 3VC with no probs.
The receivers could always be mounted in a hard case box if you wanted more protection. Think I'll stick a bit of tape on the end to stop the muck getting in.

Worked a treat and such a bargain price.

I only see the reply now, but thanks for your help, it's exactly what I needed to know Mine is a FASST 2.4Ghz version, so it should work ok then!
