Default losi mini 8ight slow?

Just bought a new rtr losi mini 8ight, kit nimh battery and as kit.
OK, only slow chaged the nimh for an hour and half to test the car, all working OK. BUT
It seems slow. I know i am used to race speed 10th off rd, but seen these round a track and there damn quick. this is not.

Is it the nimh? the lack of a full charge? or something else you think people/ooplers?

Or do i need a fast motor etc? thought the kit ones were pretty quick from the box?

Not got the right plug so have not fast chaged the nimh, have ordered a couple lipos that should fit but in the meen time? Help>>???

Kit motors are quick enough, but amp\volt hungry, put a fully charged lipo in then youl
really notice the difference
go up to a 17 or 18 pinion will help aswell(16 std) look for .5 module pinions on 2mm shaft

I get mine from Overlander.co.uk.

The Sport 1300, or 1600 mAh ones are more than enough, and easily last 5 mins.

Hope this helps.

Good choice. Really good cells and can be charged at 5c if you want. I charge at 2c and store at 3.8v per cell. Fully charged in 20 mins.

I am running the overlander extreme 2200mah 60c
Cells. Good for 2 runs before charging.

All you need to do to fit is take 1 of the battery holder corners off each end.

:-)
