Default Second race at WORM.....GORILLA RACING Rd2!!!

So it's nearly here...

The second race at WORM promises to be quite a bit different to the first...the track is being quite severely worked on currently, with around 80 tons of hardcore on site and ready to be shaped into some of the track features we have planned. Thursday this week sees the digger turning up to get it all into shape ready for GORILLA RACING Round 2!

Saturday 9th June is the date for the race, details can be found on our website here...

***GORILLA RACING Round 2 details***

Pics and videos of the first race are on our website, Facebook page and YouTube channel of you haven't seen them already! Looking forward to another great fun days racing!!!

So it's getting ever closer...is anyone planning on turning up? I know I am!!!

Sneak pic of a track layout we we're playing with over the weekend...

Gives a better idea of the work we've been doing...it's most definitely time to make offroad tracks 3D if you ask me!!! Not really offroad if it's flat is it!!!

Not sure that's the finished layout yet...and we have another work party on Thursday evening to hopefully lay some more astro, and finish the layout off for Saturday...in fact we could do with as many pairs of hands as we can, astro is heavy, and the more hands we have the lighter the work will be for everyone, so anyone that can lend a hand from 6pm onwards will be very welcome!

... and thats the reason we don't let you build the tracks

The layout in the pic, although not the whole track is perfectly drivable

Last few hours of track work have been completed, and (mostly) in the dry...and although the weather has been against us this last week or so and everything is very wet down at the track, we've made a few cut backs in the track area to make sure we have a drivable track on Saturday...unfortunately we've cut out the new banked corner for this weekend as it's just tooooo wet and soft down there to work on it...

The track is now mostly covered in astro, with a just a few small patches of gravel/dirt and the tarmac part of the straight, so as long as it's not horribly wet we will definitely have a good track to race on come Saturday!

And...weather reports are now showing a dry and sunny day on Saturday, so with only a bit of brushing off to do first thing, we are very definitely all systems go!

Can't bloomin wait, the new shapes, lumps, bumps and jumps look ace fun...the pics don't do it any justice!

Roll on Saturday

I'm on the lookout for a cheap B4 or B4.1 - maybe I'll be extremely lazy and buy an RTR.
