Motor cut off
Had a play with the naza motor cut off setting today. My advice is don't!
After flying Andy's KK2 and being able to instantly throttle down, have the quad drop in the air then pump the throttle again I thought I'd like that flight characteristic on mine. I recalled the "Motor Cut Off Type" settings in the software so decide to have a play. The default "intelligent" cut off keeps the motors turning and won't let you spin then down unless you have the throttle under 10% for 3 seconds, you'd already have landed before the motors cut, so this keeps you in the air. I swapped to the immediate cut off and flew today. Reducing the throttle makes the quad drop out the sky and seems to take an age to spin back up again. This isn't really what I was after and not a desirable flight characteristic! Examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkhg-o7MdJE Skip to 00:42, 04:23 and 07:08. Needless to say, I've switched it back to Intelligent!

Looks like a nightmare !
Is it simply that you need more power (motors) to be able to punch back out? Get those bigger Sunnksky's ordered.... |
