Default mendip newbie TC help

Hi Guys,
I'm not a member yet but have just bought my first TC off ebay. its a Schumacher Mi3.5 and needs some work but hopefully will be along soon enough.

I have read that there are motor rules 13.5 boosted, what is boosted?

I'm a returner to rc after 25 years (just bashing Tamiya as a kid) so all the new tech is beyond me at the mo but I'm learning.

anyone got any advice for esc motor combo for mendip (cheaper end please)and anyone with a Mi3.5 that can help with obtaining parts set up etc.

many thanks, hopefully see you soon.

Matt

Hello Matt,

Boosted is a type of program that speeds up the motor. Most of the speedos have this feature. if you are coming back to racing maybe start off without boost until you get used to the track.

The following motor and speedo are a good value option. The Speedo also uses Hobbywing software so its easy to program for boosted & turbo functions.

You can get plenty of help from the guys at the club re set up etc.

Hobbyking also have good Lipo and charger options.

All the best
