Pins or Spikes

Guys which do you find better for Seaham Mini Pins or Mini Spikes? and does the compound & inserts make much difference?

Pins or spikes work well. medium inserts and they've got to be yellow compount.

I use worn pins. They work as well as anything and it saves money.
