Think my servo's died!

last week i bought myself a losi 8ight 2.0 RTR buggy, over the week iv been breaking and tuning the engine. this morning i seemed to have everything running well, then i slowed into a corner and as i squeezed the trigger to exit nothing happend my buggy just rolled to a complete stop and sat there idling. still able to steer the buggy just no throttle or brake control. could it be anything other than my servo's had it? Ive read that the RTR servo's are very weak so already looked some up, just didnt think id be buying them just yet. the one ive read most good reports about is the Hitec 7955TG would these be ok to use for steering aswell as throttle?

could be it's come unplugged, receiver fault, transmitter fault, linkage has broken, servo horn has broken or indeed the servo has died...
