Default track for next round

What do you think?
We ran a diagonal straight last year and it was pretty popular so I thought I'd modify it a little.
Let us know your thoughts.

If you vote 'No Likey' please say why? Otherwise we won't know which part you want adapting so you do like it!

After all, it is the track YOUR going to be racing on.

Anybody know what's happened to the cross over we had a while ago?. Would be good if we could have that somewhere on the track.

We had 3 rounds with the cross-over though. The trouble with the cross-over is you have to have 20 square feet of room to use it, limiting the space left for a good track design. Personally i enjoyed the last track better without the cross-over, just my opinion

I agree with you Shaun, the last track was one of the best.
Don't know if many people will like this idea but what about running anti-clockwise this time round!. Makes a change from the norm.
I'll still end up in the G final either way!.

The crossover will be used again. And I already have a pretty good layout planned for it and will pass it with the powers that be after the next round.

Let's have a poll on it!. Only kidding
Being serious though, why not give it a try for one meeting and then get the opinions of everybody afterwards.
I'm up for it!
You never know, they might just like it!.

Im not a big fan of the crossover personally.

Certainly dont wish to appear to be moaning, im happy to race on whatever is provided, variety is good. I just feel that it dominates the track in the central positions its been placed in previously and turns it from a flowing off road racetrack into an obsticle course.

If you get stuck on the end of the rostrum it also creates a blind spot coming underneath it. You cant see your car coming through and marshalls cant see if its crashed either.

I tend to agree with you Rich, I tried to stand in the middle of the rostrum when we used it, but got forced to the end for one of the runs, and couldn't see the car as it went through. Tended to use blind faith rather than eyesite. lol

And it does dominate the centre.
I have done a design that sort of avoids it a bit, but it makes it all a bit 'stop-start' style. Not very flowing.

I'll keep trying anyway.

It's my belief that as a racer I turn up on the day and race on the track I'm presented with.
So should everyone else. If I don't like it tough. Part of the sport to do the best on what the hard working guys do.

Likey! Not sure if I've ever raced on a diagonal straight but I'll try anything once. As previously stated, variety is the key.

Hi Guys sorry but it's No likey for me just two reason's it's not down to the straight but the corner far down in the right hand corner because you can never see that corner tbh so if you can change that area then you get thumbs up from me too.
Also think it be hard to marshal & also there be blind spots in some marshal points (sat.stood) where u like to stick them. Mean i have counted roughly 8 points marshalls can stand/sit but the others???
Then again once a track is built it's so much easier to lay out & that.

Also would like to see us run Anti clockwise for change be great too.

I have always enjoyed running at Worksop even if the tracks been difficult one but the last meeting there was fantastic the track was flowing & wasnt to many ppl who couldnt drive the track so was far less chances being held up in Q & in the finals. Think the Marshalling was so much easier.

Sorry if it abit negative only giving my feedback thats all

Bottom right hand corner can be altered so visibility is good. We had to do that at the last meeting...and if I stood in the middle, sometimes I still couldn't see it. lol

It will be sorted, and we will test it for direction on the saturday night.

JAMES, do you have a printer that you could print some out on. So that you have some with you if we don't get there early.
