Default Mac genius's? iPhoto library sharing

Hello

Our company has thousand of photos taken over the years of events we've hosted and attended, as well as studio photos of all of our products. We frequently have requests from magazine's, etc requesting high-res images for promotions we have running with them so we needed a "photo vault" to host them all and everyone else have access over our network in the office.

The Mac Pro hosts all the photos in iPhoto and shares every photo it has for security since it time machines itself to another HDD and everyone else has macbook pro's which aren't always in the office.

At the start it was great. Everyone who wanted photo's just fired up their iPhoto and up popped the share to email the photos. Then after a few weeks my own MBP stopped 'seeing' the share. A few weeks later San's MBP stopped 'seeing' the share also.

All the macs can be seen in finder when viewing the network and everyone has iPhoto '11

Any ideas on why San and I can't see the share anymore or a better solution for sharing our photos?

a company i worked for shared all of their images using coppermine - everything was uploaded via automated routines to the internet - anyone with the correct permissions can access the information from anywhere that way.
