IMPORTANT - Change to summer series date

Please note that we have had to move the date of the 5th round of the summer series from the 28th to the 21st Aug.

We (along with the flying club) have had a request from one of our neighbours to not run on the 28th as they are holding a wedding in their garden and understandably do not want the noise of our meeting going on in the background. We have had no issues to date with our neighbours and given the significant increase in the number of racers (and associated noise/full size cars going past their houses at 8.00am on a Sunday morning) at recent meetings do not want to do anything that might sour that relationship.

We were reluctant to change the date as we understand that whatever new date we choose it will be inconvenient for someone but I hope you appreciate that the long term health of the club relies on us maintaining good relations with our neighbours. It does mean we are not now clashing with the 8th Slough 3 day Proline meeting but are clashing with the 8th national at Pendle – yes, we checked – and felt it better not to clash with the closer meeting.

We will run a normal morning club meeting on the Bank Holiday Mon 29th if we get sufficient numbers which I doubt will be a problem – we’ll assess likely attendance closer to this date.

Mike - can you add this note to the closed Summer Series Thread please?

Neil fully u for bringing the torch crew to your club on the 28th so will look at promoting this Sunday and so forth
