Default F1 motors

Just a Q to clear something up for me,I was just wondering what the motor rules are in the f1 class at the moment ?

When I first started it was silver can only, I remember trying a 19t one time and I think my f1 is sitting with an ansmann 23t in at the mo. Speaking to people at the club wed night I get the impresion it it pretty much open now?

Now the dark nights I may try and get set up so was wondering what to put in

Brushless 21.5t ????

as I understand it

Competition Night - TRCC etched motor

NONE competiton night - Silver Can

AGM
this may see F1 go 21.5BL (next years BRCA rules) though to run with LiPo, 6 cell open silver can . If it does I hope it comes in as a 'Blinky' class and or adopts the brushless ESC list that the Mardave circuit crew have come up with to help keep costs down

Think TT-01 should go the same route also

Cheers Glenn,
This is what I kinda thought to, not sure what a trcc stamped motor is tho (haven't been for a while) is it one you buy thro the club

Although this is how we think it should be run it sounds as if it open now?

Basically if I wanna go sat night what shall I run? I'm not really fussed just want to turn up with the same as everyone else.

Is it the AGM this week ? The suggestions sound good about the motors, I'm not fussed on the blinky idea...... Seems to make it a bit boring !

AGM this Saturday before racing, doors open 16:00

Club Championship round this Saturday for F1 & TT-01 so you would need a TRCC etched/stamped motor to score points.

Blinky. F1 & TT-01. Speedo's can be bought from £35 here. If classes are limited to blinky then those newcomers to the club may take the plunge and go Brushless from the beginning saving them the cost of swapping at a later date.

Ha this coud be one of those great debates as no one would ever agree, think of all the 'cheap' £7-10 brushed motors that people burn out and the tamiya and mtronics £20 speedo that are cheap but a little un reliable.THey is always going to be the argument that if a few more ££s were spent in the first place things would be alot more reliable and cheaper in the long run.

I have a little problem as its a 'points night' i dont have one of these trcc motors i have every other type............. is it worth buying one, £10ish i guess??? if the agm is gonna rule brushless is ok. Tbh i dont race enough to be in any points so guess i just run with what i have?
