Default DF-03 Over Steer Problem

As I run a lot on concrete, I have replaced the original tyres which did not provide a lot of grip but gave balanced steering and drift with Losi 7285 on the front and x-2000-7369 on the rear.

The effect now is that the front has so much grip it is ike running on rails in comparison to before. The rear also has more grip also allowing a higher conrnering speed but the car now tends to oversteer when pushed to/over the limit and the rear breaks away quickly without warning.

Any ideas how to ovecome this and provide equal amount of grip to the rear?

If you're stuck with those tires, you can try camber changes (more negative camber in the rear, less negative camber in front), shock mounting positions, springs, oils (softer rear and harder front). There's probably lots of other things to try, but I don't know what. Don't go overboard with the negative camber.

Have you tried Roll bars, as this tends to stabilise the rear end a bit and take a little steering away from the front. I tend to use if the car is way too eratic and over twitchy.

Thanks for the response guys, will try to alter camber on the rear to see if I can get more grip.

I have done about 25 - 30 laps racing on these now and they front seems to have worn and lost the initial grip giving a more balanced feel, not sure if this is good or bad though!!!

Sim has the right idea. Try 2-3 degrees negative camber in the rear and 1/2 - 1 degree negative camber in the front. Maybe also bring the dual rate down a little bit too. You could also "slow down" the steering with a little positive (I think it's positive, but I might have it backwards) front toe.

strange that cause even running indoors on carpet using schumacher mini pins it still has a tendancy to understeer meaning i have to back right off to get round tight corners
