We race every Friday indoors at Caldi all year round, bar xmas. We try and get a minimum of 3 rounds and a final in, sometimes get 4 rounds plus final. Everyone's welcome Some people having been trying cut staggers on the front of their 2wd, but I prefer minipins all round, schuey blue inserts (cos I got a load that I'm trying to use up!) That's on a B4.1. Look forward to seeing you there |

I'm a mile or two off the quick boys at Caldicot, but I must say I'm finding the DBoot Nanobytes are certainly helping me improve my lap times. Schumacher medium inserts all round for me.

I find using Braces thick sliced white bread with a nice, seedless strawberry jam as an insert and on a medium sized plate works the best. Cut off the outer row of crust for improved laptimes

There's a Trackside shop that has a good spares and also has all the tyres and inserts you'll need. Just to be extra sure you could give him a call and he'll keep them back for you. you'll find him here: www.tracksidespares.co.uk

OK, Lovechild here's time to be sensible :-)
Pins are going to be the quickest over a single lap, though new ones are really hard to be quick on. Too much grip on the carpet and very little grip on the slippy. If you are an experienced racer and used to going quickly on multisurface tracks then you want pins all round. Minispikes are less aggresive on the carpet but more grippy on the slippy, so over the whole lap the grip feels much more consistant. If you are less experienced with surface changes or dont like constant changes in grip level then go with the mini spikes all round. We typically find that touring car drivers are better on spikes until they get used to buggies and are able to enjoy mixed surface racing. Look forward to seeing you |
