Another sweaty day in bury ! A familiar track layout if you attended the regional a couple of weeks before greeted the 4wd competitors, it was a fast track. Towards the end of qualifying the rain started but the monsoon and lightening that followed was kind enough to wait until qualifying was over. A lot of desperate maniacs, myself included, could be seen making a dash for the transmitter compound to "save them from the rain" - good thing too. I started out well, with bald yellow minispikes on the BJ4x4, but after advice i tried the car with a diff in the front- not as "quick" but a heck of a lot easier to drive cleanly. My final (F) was a bit of a wash out, a slightly dodgy tyre choice (ballistic fronts - schuey green rears) meant the car was a handfull at best so i retired before then end to save the car ! Great days racing, enjoy the photies. |
