My First trip up to Teesdale, a former bowling green turned into a permenant off road track by the teesdale club members.
The carpark was initially a bit of a nightmare with people getting stuck in the mud before racing was even started. The day started bright though and the sun came out for a while as you can see on the photos.
Unfortunately the sun didn't stay long and once the rain started it just went on and on and on. A vote was made to run 4 rounds and a final (in other words, carry on as normal). Later another vote was made to run just the 4th round and drop the finals, a wise choice because everyone was seriously cold and wet by this point - apart from neon orange dan greenwood.
The rain brought out the most bizzare arrangement of tyres from the bottom of everyones pitboxes, full spikes, tr32's, losi step pins, ballistics etc, in an attempt to find grip on the muddy track. I found a good setup for rounds 3 and 4 with tr32s on the back and schumacher rounded 2.1 mini spikes on the front.
Overall it was a great days racing, the teesdale facility has great potential because of the hard work the members put in, just a shame the weather tarnished the days racing a bit.
