Schumacher indoor winter series - Worksop 28/10/07

The second round of the 2007/08 Schumacher indoor winter series was well attended, with 11 heats all together, split between 2WD and 4WD. The track wasn't too challenging to drive and allowed for plenty room to pass and race side-by-side.

Bit of excitement in the pits when someones IB4200 cells went off 'like a cannon' - which is no exaggeration, it really was that loud. Luckily no-one was injured but it made a bit of a mess of the table.

Danny McGee won the 2WD - pulling a large gap on the field from the start with his Losi XXXCR.

In 4WD Richard Lowe dominated the qualifying and looked the fastest in the final. Coming over the large jump in front of the rostrum Matt Dodd rolled whilst in the lead - Richard followed and did the same, but whilst Matt was being marshalled Richard was busy trying to 'self right' the car, at which point his Novak brushless motor died putting him out. Matt went on to take the win ahead of Fabien with the Tamiya 501X.
