make sure you delete the old driver and then reload it.

Open control panel and printers, is the HP printer showing up? Right click it and set it to default, then try.

The drivers are here: http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/3405/

check the link that southwell has given or this link and run the check before you down load the driver;) Question the XP version you downloaded was it XP or XPx64?

Have you had any problems at all while using just your pc or laptop???
I'm just trying to see if it's just a problem with the printer or your pc/laptop.

you have a pm

Southwell

go to: start, run, type services.msc. Find the print spooler and restart it, that 'should' clear the old job.

Try plugging the printer into another usb port and letting it install again, the error you are getting is the HP printer driver.

Im guessing thats your problem then. Put in the CD and search for that file, put it in the folder and follow above.

If you cant find it, it is here: http://www.alexander.com/SymServe/hpzeng07.exe/3D6F0AF4d1000/hpzeng07.exe

Then it's just that file missing. It is looking for it to get the job to the printer, not finding it and failing.
