See if i have time to wright down the story before work... I use to used Novak GTB in all my cars, spec my BJ4WE...but last year it was hot..i mean real hot app 35+ and the car did app 3-4 min then TSD....that was it...no more N for me, so i tested the LRP escīs...i went for the latest, the TC SPEC as it was a perfect fit in the AC S4 car... said and done, ordred one, and the TSD is history:thumbsup:.... later a i traded a I force pancar for a almost a NIB B4, so a new TC SPEC was bought, and the ball was on the move..a FT T4 and a TC SPEC was bought here to, so the indor season (ended now) i was using my T4 for a few times, and then it started to act strange..stopped, lost power, started again, we checked everything, cables, contacts, servo,Rx ya name it..the car was packed down and i did a began to run the S4 indoor...:p perfect...4.5 with a low gearing, no more then 60 deg celsius , motor and ESC..

So last sunday it was a premier for me, the truck was going to eat turf...came half a lap, then it started... i have forgot the problem...the ESC works sometime,it dies, no power at all, the esc can flash sometimes, it works..finaly i canīt bearly touch the throttle it dies (no power)

SO Thursday this week, it was grand test  (used Sphere in my truck) TC in my S2 and S4....the S2 is great:p:p

The S4...what can i say:woot:...2 packs..and im sold, it is fantastic, but middle of a jump, the car dies..."hmmm"..TSD?.. nope no more then 50-63 deg celsius on mototr/esc... walking to the car..off with body, and i can see directly..same thing as the TC SPEC on my T4 truck...exatly!!, loosing power, fan gets down on realy low speed, no throttle working, maybe a glitch..knoking on it, then it works, throttle, dies instant...

2 broken TC SPEC in 1 week... i think i know, im using always 2-3 layer of doubbleteip to get the ESC in the car, but a bad landing, FLAT can kill everything, im sure this is the thing...

just ordred a new 07 ESC, any tip for mounting?

Have you got the Lipo shut off option enabled? If so it may be that your cells can't hack the current draw, thus the voltage drops and the speedo shuts off to protect the Lipo it thinks is connected.

Seen this several times on LRP / Nosram speedos!!

What roger says, especailly if your running 5 cells, even if your cells are good 5 cell and lipo cutoff wont go well together.

no cutoff on those speedos.. the ESC dies, going rock black, have to knock on it to get it started. its on RMA to USA, and hopfully number 2 soon.

I think roger is trying to say have you got it in lipo mode or nimh mode?

I'd say the same... is setting #1 on one flash or two flashes??

It needsto be on two flashes, to force the speedo into NiMh mode only.

Even though the "Auto" mode says it works with NiMh it does somethings thinks the cell voltage has dropped to low and cuts all power to protect LiPo's.

Worth a check.

The spedoīs is set for Racing mode, #2. i will post a 3 short clips... 2 blink to show ya guys. 1 clip where it turns blue, and the fan will go down slow..nothing working...and the 3rd one, i can trottle then it stops..to get it started, just touch it (the cable im touchin is ONLY for example, i can knock on the fan, sensor cable,Rx cable etc...) i have 21 checked all soldering, there is factory done and they are rock solid. im almost 100% it can be some flat out landing...that can kill everything...

I had more or less the same problem at the nationals this weekend.

At the start of the first final, I drive to my starting position half a lap further and as I'm almost there, the ESC dies. I have steering, but no throttle. A quick off-on and it seems to work again. Half a lap after the final had started, it dies again ! :o. Swtich off-on and it works again for half a lap. Then I decided to quit. Sometimes the ESC LED blinked orange.

It didn't do it again in the 2nd or 3rd final.

It's an LRP competition (no TC spec) on a 5.5T sintered motor and I've been using it for almost two years now. Never had a problem. Strange thing is, I'm using the same motor and cells as last year.
