If you mean the one that comes in the B4 RTR kits then no, its not good at all, your best bet would be a good 19T spec motor, they will be much faster and of alot higher quality.

You might be interested in going brushless with a 10.5 (19 turn equivalent) from the likes of Novak or LRP/Nosram. This way the performance shouldn't drop off, and you won't spend a fortune on brushes and skimming.

I am not sure if there are any BRCA legal ones, so it might be worth looking on the brca website, under the Electric Board Sections.

or a Team Checkpoint Money motor (19x1)

i run it in my TA-05, nice speed, and it has lasted nearly 2 months with no skimming, and it's still going strong :D

I ran an LRP Eraser 10.5T brushless in my B4. It was smooth but I have to confess it wasn't particularly fast even taking into consideration my poor driving. Of course, if you upgrade to brushless you have to factor in a compatible speedo as well if you haven't already got one = more pennies.

The LRP eraser/nosram dragon series of 10.5 motors are not like proper spec 10.5's, the difference between my nosram dragon and my orion 10.5 is like night and day, but then again the orion was the same price as a modified so...
