CHRIS WALLACE: In Indiana today a major fire destroyed much of the town of Mishawaka.
Fox News' Lindsey Sablan is on the scene reporting on this new threat to your safety. Lindsey what can you tell us?

LINDSEY SABLAN: Well Chris tonight this small town in the shadow of the University of Notre Dame has been decimated by one of the largest fires in United States history.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

SABLAN: Thousands of homes have been destroyed, there are smoldering ashes everywhere and people walking the streets aimlessly wondering where they are going to go for the night. I can tell you I've covered Bosnia, the war for freedom in Iraq and Hurricane Katrina and this is just destruction on a whole different level Chris.

WALLACE: Wow Lindsey those pictures are just devastating. Are authorities saying anything about the source of the fire.

SABLAN: Yes Chris, authorities are fairly sure of the cause and we have spoken to many eye witnesses to the event. It began at a car show this weekend on the Notre Dame campus. We spoke with Pete Russell.

PETE RUSSELL: ...That's right this was a radio controlled car race and we were in the middle of one of the races. One of the guys had a new Spektrum DX3R radio and when he hit the wall his antenna bent and he lost control of the car. After one of the marshalls turned the car off he moved the wheels and all the sudden the Novak speed control started burning.

SABLAN: That sounds like a fairly small fire to cause this kind of destruction?

RUSSELL: Oh no. You see when that fire started it caused the batteries in his car to overheat. All four Nickel Metal Hydride batteries popped off like M-80's. {Pete draws from a cigarette}Well a cap from one of those batteries flew across the room like a bullet, into another car. For a second we all thought that was it. The batteries stopped popping and the fire in the first car was almost out. Then all of the sudden the Lithium Polymer battery in the second car started to burn like a road flare. It started to grow and grow to like the flame from a steel mill furnace. At this point people are running and screaming, using their Lipo Sacks to shield their faces from the heat because the room is filling with smoke and getting really hot. {Pete draws from a cigarette}Well I decide it's time to leave but my lighter was on the other side of the fire so I light one last smoke off the flames and start to run too.

SABLAN: How big was the fire at this point?

RUSSELL: Oh it was huge! I mean there were flames shooting out the doors like that movie Backdraft? At this point fire alarms are going off and the entire building is emptying out. The fire kept getting bigger and bigger, people were just ahead of the flames and I know a lot of people died because they didn't have Lipo Sacks to protect them. {Pete is choked up, draws from a cigarette}

SABLAN: What did you see next?

RUSSELL: Well, uh {inaudible} then I think the other batteries started going up and the fire got bigger and bigger to where both the building we were in and the two buildings next door were burning. {inaudible}I'm sorry buddy I can't talk right now, I'm sorry...

SABLAN: Chris, obviously people here are pretty shaken up. Witnesses say the fire was so big it created smoke clouds bigger than the ones from nuclear bombs. Several thousand people are confirmed dead and many thousand more injured. This community will have a long road back to recovery.

WALLACE: So Lindsey do they know who started the fire.

SABLAN: Yes Chris the person goes by the name B-Mag and when asked for comment he said he was sorry for starting any trouble and was just going to try and be cool from now on. We later saw him next to a gas station, playing with matches.

With gas prices being outrageous we are gonna run at RCRCR.

Mostly it's Nitro buggy and Truggy infested.

R/C racing is my main hobby, but watching wrestling on TV used to be.
If I still watched wrestling I couldnt race on Friday nights, since I have 2 tracks
close by competing with each other or used to be competing.
I managed to do the impossible, get REO not to compete with Golfland.
Now REO is on friday nights because of ME, so the people from reo can race SAT at golfland.
I hope it stays this way so both tracks can stay open.
If I do watch wrestling it's the old 80's stuff, not the new stuff.

Yes, that really is him. Take it from somebody who has to put up with him at the track. He isn't funny, amusing, or humorous.

He has 2 expensive 4wd cars that have been "rigged up" because he doesn't have any money to buy the proper replacement parts.... He thinks the more expensive a car or product is the better it is going to make him.

Instead of posting useless babble on all of these websites he should A: Sell one of his "pro level cars" and buy a vehicle that meets the class specifications at his local tracks and B: Go to one of the tracks 3-4 days a week and just practice.

Firstly this thread was made so BMAG could tell us about his setups and achievements. The guy is a legend and is either very clever and is playing us all or just plain nuts, either way he is a funny guy.:thumbsup:

Whilst we may take the pee, i dont think anything that has been said is hurtful or cutting in any way. Until the last few days, when people who have come across from rctech etc who obviously know the guy have added their 2p`s worth. Some of the things have been a bit close to the bone.

Some people need to take a pinch of salt with what bmag posts, not all things are accurate but the guy is at least interested and passionate about the hobby.

I would much rather have someone like this in the hobby than a fast guy who will just drive through you because he thinks he has the god given right too.:thumbdown:

I agree my posts have been off the chart Stupid, as is everyone else's post.
I do need a break as I just raced Friday and beat my B44 record at reo.
I got more laps in less amount of time, so the car will continue
to break records in my control. No I'm not the fastest guy on the track
but I do try to pull as many laps as I can in the time limit.

*When the fast guys come steam rolling by, I'm not afraid to let them pass.
Some people try to break the other person trying to pass though, I
have seen this in the act....racing dirty..

I have not even touched the surface of the 501x Worlds Edition, I
have not raced this chassis yet, just ran it at practice.
I got 17 laps in 6 mins at Albion www.action-hobby.com (http://www.action-hobby.com) the last time I was there with the B44, so when it starts up again in November this year I'll try to tackle my old B44 record with a 501x Worlds Edition.

I have met a few famous racers in my travels, most of them are sponsored.

I am not sponsered in anyway, nor do I wanna be, because you have to win if you are contracted to.
A freind of mine is sponsored by Mugen Seiki, yet he has to place in the top 30 to stay afloat.

And it may be just as good to not be sponsored as you say. As long as you can afford it then you can choose whatever equipment you want to use. And you don't have the pressure. Just race and have fun!

Btw. have you tried racing trucks BMag? Those are very very stable & easy to drive. Can be a good idea to start with that for practise. Have you considered a T4?

From the work I have seen of bmag. You need to drive with a lot less throttle.

Use a blue clothes dye to colour your wheels. It an old trick from the 90's

Battery soldering you need a 80watt iron with a large tip a battery jig and some patience. And practice

And think before you speak and make sure you have your fact straight.
