Yer LRP has in general been good kit, but there speed controllers have taken some stick of late on here, seems to be some reliability issues.

I run an orion r10 which Im extremely please with (altho not exactly cheap - I bought it in a childish paddy one night being annoyed with an old setup)
Ive also head that fusion exceed gear is quite good for the money they cost.
I'd be getting the 80750 of these, for the money you can't beat them. I had the nosram equivalent and never had a problem with it.

That would be up to you, although i believe the LRP esc will only work with sensored motors.
You can mix and match brands and I'd be happy buying any motor from the likes of LRP, Nosram, Speedpassion, Vampire, Novak, Losi, or Orion.
Personally I run Nosram motors with my favoured wind being an 8.5 octa wind. It gives a good compromise of driveability particularly if it's bumpy or slippy but still has a good top speed.
