They are very good, the only problem being that there is so much to set on them that you can really mis-set them too. Ant they have a rather large footprint too.
A lot of people in my club use it but most are looking for something a little less complicated.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good speedo, only way too many settings and setting it up is really difficlut if you haven't got a laptop trackside with the adapter cable. And you always have to disable the on/off button because it switches itself off after large jumps.

I personally think speed passion speedos are rather sexy with the hand-held programmer and after having had a fiddle with a mates I am convinced that will be my next speedo if my LRP Sphere TC bites the dust (also a nice speedo)

i heard these speedos are quit good myself but i dnt now about it switching itself off thats odd and its not right unless they cand take a much of and impact or unless u dont set it right i was looking at the GM 95 but thats just too pricey the 85 is ok and good for price in my opinion

The problem with the on/off button is that it is flat on the top of the speedo and if your chassis slaps the ground it is prone to switching itself off. You can disable the button via the software though, so not that much of a problem really. On/off via the battery plugs then.
Don't bother getting the handheld programmer though because it's a bit fiddly and the handling is awfull. The PC software is very detailed though and lets you set the thing up very thouroughly. It also lets you get it completely wrong though and have a very bizarre throttle feel.

If you really want a challenge get it. It's an excellent speedo and very popular here in Germany just not one of the easy ones to set up quickly :)

The little capacitor circuit board is a cool touch :)

dan beleive it or not both speedos burnt out so need a new one the battery caps where loose i should have tried them up but im a bit fed up of this problem so the GM 85 caps are stuck to the speedo wich i think is good in a way
