Steve Andrews is thinking about organising a race meeting at:

Venue: West Kent Off Road Track nr Tonbridge, Kent

The idea would that it would be open to both 2wd and 4wd !

Just after an ideas of numbers that would be interested ?

There is a chance of some Vintage racing at this meeting.

Depends on both numbers of 2wd / 4wd booking in and number of vintage cars booking in.

At the moment I've still got the 28th free so I should be able to go. I've also got a XLS sitting in my garage that hasn't turned a wheel in anger since 1990. Maybe it's time it did ;)

We are just trying to get a guide to how many people would be interested to make sure the meeting is worth while.

Its not like a regional etc where you a guarantee that you will have a certain amount of people there.

I have not spoken to Steve Andrews who is the main man at West Kent for a while, but as far as I aware the meeting is still set to run. I will see him at the F3,F4,F5 Finals on the 13th Sept.

Please also feel free to continue to post if you are planning to come along so we can have a good guide of numbers.

Many Thanks

Spoke to Steve A a couple of times today and the meeting is still definitely on!

Though he's been under the weather recently he has already started prepping the track and will continue to do further developemnt for this meeting. He may appreciate some help leading up to the event.

Brett - You can also count Chris and myself as entries, hopefully there'll be bacon rolls for brekky again! Hope you can all appreciate how my prioritories are changing!

See everybody at the F3/4/5's!

Spoke to Steve Andrews yesterday.....
Track preparation is well underway and, weather permitting, all looks good for the 28th.

There has been some discussion between the publican and Steve and we are again reminded that those excellent bacon rolls will be available as part of a breakfast deal on Sunday 28th!
Can't wait, never mind the racing!

Hope to see many of you there, lets all make Steve's continuing efforts worthwhile!

I have a couple of questions, where is the track at west Kent? Does anyone have the post code, or the road name that they can post?

Also, what tires are best to use? What surface is the track?

Cheers :)

Not sure of post code but its in Hildenborough near Tonbridge. Grass track and any tyres as its an open meeting but most will use Schu yellows I'm sure.

For those coming down the A21, leave at the signs for Hildenborough (B245) and follow that road through Hildenborough village. Go past the Volvo dealer and down the hill and turn right opposite the "Flying Dutchman". Then you just need to keep going. Be careful as the road narrows and there are some sharp bends, and bear in mind that this road is a bus route!
