hi all,

i got a pc processor fan with a speed controller attached to it to use on my motor and speedo after a race and also to use charging my cells.

its really powerfull and to use it on a constant power source ie a power pack from a computer as what its supposed to be run on im using one of those ( 400 wt ).

** dont attempt to do this if you are not 100 % sure on what you are doing **

to do this with out plugging into the motherboard i shorted the green wire to any black ( used on the 24 pin mother board power plug ).

once this is done jst plug the fan into one of the molexes and away you go ! ive done it and it works a treat. using this on my cells its seemd to have put more in them keeping them cool as possable

the fan is extremly powerfull and spins a high speed when on maximum on the speedo controller for the fan. the fan comes with the speed controller and is made by thermaltake.

using one of these makes so much sence. motors get hot and so do pc processors. high end processors that are put under strain get hot and so do motors. it jst makes sence to cool motors down when they get put under race pressure as u can tell when they come off.

cheers garry ** dont attempt to do this if you are not 100 % sure on what you are doing **

So I won't take a picture of my fan cooled metal flight case pitching a 1000W of 12V power then..... it is capable of charging between four and six packs of batteries at a time, 4 packs plus a motor dyno, fans etc..... ahem :D

It is easy enough to do, the write up is on racechat, so I got two PSU's running, sorry, 550W each, so that is 1100W of power for charging, and when I get the time, I will also do one with a 3.3v and 5v bus bar for motor and lathe running.
