Benfield Winter Series Round 4 - January Sunday 18th 2015

Ladies and gents
The club would like to invite you to book in, attend and support round 3 of the series, juniors and senior drivers will run both 2wd and 4wd class. (Please note drivers who have attended previous rounds will have priority in bookings in)
There will be trophies for the winner of each class and a special price for the Junior classes. (The future of the sport) at the end of the series.

The meetings will be held at:
Benfield Sports Centre
Benfield Road
Walkergate
Newcastle uponTyne NE6 4NU
The dates are as follows:

Round 4 - January Sunday 18th 2015
Round 5 - February Sunday 15th 2015 ( date may change)

Fee - £8.00 per class. Or £15.00 for both classes per round
U16 - £5.00 per class. Or £8.00 for both classes per round.

The club would like to encourage you to book in, in advance by PM K-Brewer or email [email protected] ([email protected]) confirming the round / date you would like to attend.

Doors will open at 7.00 am. Booking in Practice will be 7.15-7.45 am followed by drivers' briefing 7.50 We aim to have heats on the line at 8.00 am with the intention of finishing the meeting no later than 4 pm. Please note: The trophies and prizes presentation will be at the end of the Series, once the track has been cleared, and drivers will need to be present to claim any prizes. payments can be made on the day,

Benfield radio controlled Buggy club runs 6.30 pm until 10pm every Friday. (all are welcome)

again today I have received a lot of feed back and positive comments on how well the junior drivers are improving, and enjoying the series.


I will scan through the results tomorrow and forward them to Dom to update the series. from a first glance it looks to be very tight in the mid and top third of the table. in both classes.

sounds like another great day - feel worse that I didn't make it.
I've been keen as mustard for weeks and had a new centre diff for the XB4 to try, a new 2WD and new motors. All of them sitting idle today!

Back is better now though - days rest did it wonders, and it seems it was just a twist. Serves me right for being an idiot.

I'll get the results up as soon as I get them. And I'll move heaven & earth to be there for the Feb round. See you all there.

One thing I would like to add is about the driving from a spectating point of view some of the heats I watched it was like dodgems I heard loads of people coming off the stand complaining about it
I can honestly say in the junior races they were all as clean racing as it could be
Mabe it was because there were less cars in that heat compared to the others.
