Best club racer 1/18 truggy or buggy

Looking at starting to race in the 1/18 class at my local club the majority of the guys race with the ripmax dingo with modified shocks.
I don't like the setup as you have to use the stock tx rx and servo.
So the general question really is what's the best buggy truggy to put my own gear in and race at a club level?

Rip out the original dingo stuff, the Savox 0255 servo should fit, it does in the dromidas which are the same vehicle, then add esc and receiver of your choice.
