Whats the best thing to do with air filter foams?

Wash with soapy water, dry and then reoil?
Replace with new foam and oil

definitely replace

for what they cost there's not really even any argument for washing out & re using ;)

plastic food bag,put filter inside it with some oil, squeeze it thru so its evenly coated all the way thru it,remove from bag.

if the filter is too laden with oil it will work too well and stop the airflow also,so give it a gently squeeze with some paper towel around it to get rid of any excess oil, basically if you squeeze the filter between finger and thumb and you see lots of standing oil on the surface of the filter then its too much,a little is ok.

if you do a few at a time you can then keep them in a ziplock plastic bag ready to use as needed.

place it in a sandwich bag with a drop of oil and massage it into the foam, then try to dry it of in kitch roll(tissue) to get the excess out,
