Hi all, just thought I'd share my latest shells with you. :)

Not fully back and up to speed yet, but just managing to do the odd one shell every now and then.

These are the first few that I've done after coming out of 'maternity leave'!

Cheers dudes, I'm finding that beeing away for a while is taking its toll though. I used to do up to 8 shells a day....now its taking me 4-5 hours to do one!!:woot::cry: The quality is better though, as I'm spending more time on each one.

...that will all change soon though, I can see that happening!:lol:

those shells are amazing, it would be a shame to let them out on the track. How much would it be for something like the Azarashi shell? Its the closest to what I would want in regards to the number of colours and chrome etc.

When are you back up & running for good then?

Bodies look amazing love the Chrome glass finish, been looking everywhere who does bodies like that & your the first.
Will have to get you to do few for me when your back up :thumbsup:

Hi all.

After 17 years of painting shells I've decided to call it a day.

As you all know I came back to painting the shells after a short absence whilst jeanette had our twins.
I've been painting them for about 3 months now and have realised that its not possible to complete work for people within 'reasonable' time limits, and that is just not acceptable for me. If I can't get work out quick enough then its not worth doing.

The kids just need too much of my (and jeanette's) attention/time, and its not possible to juggle both. And I'm affraid the family comes first always.

If I have one of your shells in to paint then don't worry, I will complete the work I have in, but will be taking no more work on.
So PLEASE DON'T send me any more requests for jobs doing.

Thank you to all that have trusted my unsteady hands on their shells, and sorry to anyone that was thinking of getting work done by me.

Haha, thanks Phil. Well the Idea was that I'd be able to do the shells when the twins were born.....but its not been that easy. lol

If so, its done by putting candy (transparent) colour down, backing with silver, and while the silver is still wet lay some cling film onto it and then take it off straight away....then back it with black. for a finer effect just wrinkle the cling film up and stipple the silver.

Its called 'marbling' in the real world of cars, where they do it to a full size car!! They're braver than me! lol

I'm working full time now, so I am knocking the shells on the head for good.

I have a lot of things to do at home and with work too something has to go.

As many of you may now know, painting the shells has taken a bit of a back seat (sorry, I know...AGAIN!)
But this time it's because the business that I have now set up has grown much faster than I expected, and has taken up more of my time to the point where I have now left my day job to do the printing full time.

Just to keep you all updated...
I am now back on the shell painting line once again.
I had to take a break towards the end of last year to get things settled in the printing business, but now that it has stabilised I can manage my time much better and can get on with painting shells again. :)

Sorry to anyone that had to go elsewhere while I was on business leave, but it had to be done to make the business work.

So, I am back! And its back to the good old Telsshells for the painting side of things as having two facebook pages with similar names confused some of the...not so intelligent of my clothing customers. :/

I will try and reply to as many messages as I get them, but if I don't reply straight away, don't be offended, I'm a busy man. :)
