Hi Im hoping someone will be able to advise here. I've been using and airbrush for painting my shells for years but i've only ever used the cans of 'air' instead of a compressor. Now ive got right proper fed up with the cackness of these cans so i thinking of getting a small compressor. so what is good one for the guy who paints probably only 6 or so shells a year? ive seen some cheapy ones on ebay but i just dont believe they could be any good...
cheers
Matt

Sorry to partially hi-jack but I'm after an airbrush and compressor to spray Faskolor/Createx paint. Would this one be suitable? http://www.everythingairbrush.com/acatalog/info_AB_AS176_KIT_AB_130.html

thx for the link, Blitz-man, but could you also give some pointers on what type of compressor he would need: pressure, volume of the airtank, ...?

lowie that mini compressor will do the job mate the pressure is adjustable on the compressor and its done me fine
how noisey is it? my comp with tank, sounds, well, like a tank when it is filling up the reservoir.

blitzboy, are you watering down the Faskolor/Createx? Also, what PSI do you spray them at?

does it not get a tad warm then, spraying, it must be running a good part of the time?

window cleaner thins the paint down for fine detail work like fading ,faskolour as it is , is ok but will splatt if its thik when your doing fine fading. plus window lene dries quickly when its in the paint water won t dry as quick

Might I ask what other things you used before finding out window cleaner worked?

did try water but thats all mate Mr muscle wndow cleaner is the best , there is other stuff you can buy but window cleaner is cheaper :thumbsup:its the future guys
I found that window cleaner is the best too, as it thins it down without the paint dispersing and blothching. On a note of thinnin, the latest Faskolor I have had through, has been thinner, and a lot better to spray, right out the bottle, white was always a mare, but the new bottles I have had, it goes on, just lovely!!
