The Finns have some great tracks!!!!!

[spenner]

Having raced at the Track in Vaasa, i then found the video of this track in Finland... This is the a final from one of there Nationals.....

The tracks over there are awesome..

[jimmy]

Wow, that does look a very cool track. Do they not get so much rain over there in summer or something?

[Nick Goodall]

Superb - just needs some bright green astro or paint on the bits inside the track as parts of it look quite hard to define from the track itself.

Love it though, that jump section towards the end of the lap is cool as!

[David Church]

Yes we had a great trip to Finland eh John????? hahahaha

Are the next World's there????

[bigred5765]

Now thats what i call a track

[lochness42]

Crazy stuff

[ryan]

Lol, that makes our indoor tracks look rubbish! I think they are very efficient with the space they have!

[AiR]

Hahaa! Found ya! I was wondering, why there was suddenly over 100 views on my Youtube-video.

That's my home track. It's made for 1:8 scale cars, but we race 1:10 scales on it too. :)

[jimmy]

Looks awesome, wish I could have a go!

[AiR]

Are the next World's there????

Hello again!
We had our fourth and last race of the series last weekend.

After the finals we tried little bit jumping with one of our B4's. :D

Here is the video (Youtube, HQ) (http://bit.ly/M4M210A3WTF)

[AiR]

Hello,
It's already indoor season here. I edited this video to document our current indoor track. The track isn't the longest one, but pretty technical, so I have heard. :p

Comments welcome!

[AiR]

As I have understood that you like to see tracks and racing from other countries too, I continue to spam my racing videos. :)

Last weekend we raced first race of our Winter Jumps series. The race was held on Nokia's indoor offroad track, which is almost 100% astroturf. In Finland we have followed UK's example and this season only allowed rear tyre is Schumacher's Min Pin (Yellow compound).

Here's link to playlist:

If I may recommend few rounds to watch, you should see 4WD A1- and A3-final. Good racing! :)

Finnish Championship outdoor season kicked off here in Jyvaskyla. The track was in similiar shape than year before. We added some Astro turf in to 8-pack to smoothen the ride. :)

We have A-mains on video. Here you go:

I want to move to finland! You have the sort of tracks I love, where you need a mega fast motor and you get big air :wub

Love the Espoo, Jyvaskyla, Maastosarja and Lippulaiva tracks!

Finnish Championship outdoor season continued at Salo on 1/8th scale track which was in pretty rough condition. Anyway race was raced and I've got some video from the event.

Youtube playlist: Maastosarja 2010 #2 - Salo - finRC (http://bit.ly/maastosarja10_2_vids)

In 4WD the fluorescent yellow car was driven by Joseph Quagraine and the car has gear diffs and mid diff! Kinda unique setup for electric 1/10 buggy.

Season continues on 11th and 12th of september, when round 3 is run at Hyvinkaa.

Comments are welcome!

Finnish outdoor electronic offroad championship series returned to WC 2011 venue at Vaasa.

2WD ran in dry conditions on saturday. Sunday came with a rain when 4WD was trying to survive in muddy conditions. Check the videos out! :)

Fourth and last round of Finnish 1/10th scale outdoor electronic offroad championship series was held at Hyvinkaa. From last year track had had some changes in form of larger jumps and longer back straight.

Here is some footage from the finals:

Our outdoor season is now over and next races will be indoors in form of Winter Jumps series.

[AiR]

Our outdoor season is done and we head to indoors for the winter. Our national indoor offroad series started at Nokia last weekend.

Main classes in the series is 10th scale 2WD and 4WD. Also CORR is run as an extra class if there is enough drivers to it.

Track was awesome and 10 cars finals were pretty hectic on a relatively short track.

Here is some video from the event:

Next race will be at Vantaa on 27th of november 2010.

[AiR]

We've had two Winter Jumps events after my last report here.

Winter Jumps 2010-2011 #2 - Vantaa:
Second event of the series was run in Vantaa, near Helsinki.

Track was the best track that I've run indoors ever.
Front jump was huge. Pictures just doesn't do justice.

JQ was running 2wd and 4wd.

Oulu is 600 km to north from Helsinki so the place is pretty close to the arctic circle. Anyway weather wasn't that bad outside, only -10 C.

Track was built to school hall with innovative use of gym equipment. Local star driver Vesa Yli was racing in 4wd with Serpentine/Durango proto.

[AiR]

Time for an update. Our winter season is now done.
