Just wondering - what kind of bearings are the B4 gurus using when servicing your rides? I find the FT ones a bit steep for a full replacement. Any other bearings that hold up the the quality of the AE ones without costing almost a third of the full B4 FT car kit?

As far as I can tell, this is the overview for full replacement of AE FT bearings:

12 x #6906 (3/16x3/8)
2 x #6903 (3/8x5/8)

Shopping at my preferred webshop, this comes to a total of 62 USD.
(The entire B4 kit costs 215 USD at the same shop.:D)

The all new Vampire "DUO" bearings (metal shielded one sdie, rubber on te other) will be here in the UK in a couple of days. There will be amongst their range a complete B4 set which will be selling here in the UK for less than you are paying. The projected price at present for this set (the exact bearings you list) will be between £16/18 UK RRP !!!

There are also individual bearings, and sets for other cars too including the T4, X6 and X60. Watch this space.......

Edit do a bearing set for the B4 at a very good price:-

These are good quality bearings too!

I've found the Answer-RC B4 bearing set from Bolton Model Mart to be superb (circa £18.50 posted). I changed all of the bearings in my B4 about three months ago but as a trial fitted Associated bearings on one side of the car and Answer on the other. The Answer bearings are still going strong, while I've had to replace two of the Associated wheel bearings. Also, when new the front wheel 'free-spin' run time of the Answer bearings was almost twice that of the Associated.

We did go to town speccing the bearings and have learnt a lot from when we started doing the 1/8th bearings..:woot:

We have used seals which create less drag, offer better dirt resistance and also used very highly specced balls and races as well as a specific lubricant package deriverd from ethe Aerospace industry.

Glad you are liking them:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

BTW I just tried to go to your website (answer-rc.com) to look at the B44 bearing pack and received an internal server error message.:(

So, us "foreigners" - shop at your US distributor?
USD 23,50 = GBP 14 = cheaper.:thumbsup:

The exchange rates have been up and down of late so to try and keep things balanced has been hard work..

UK RRP is £17.50 but theer are also various EU distributors who carry them.
Bear in mind that the sales tax in the UK is higher as well. But it will cost you more to get it from the US with shipping so its a bit of a mixed bag.
