I need a new tip for mine - TB0318 (the 8mm tip).

Anyone carry Trickbits parts here in the UK or have I got to order direct from Horizon Hobby?

Anyone? Or can you suggest a cheap powerful 12V iron as a replacement? The Trickbits one is 35W and is fine for doing most soldering jobs including NiMh cells - but it can struggle outside if it's windy :bored:

The Trickbits one is so useful though - heats up really quickly which is handy when someone's broken a wire on their warm up lap.

See your local hobby shop and ask him to order some off of Horizon hobby for you

I'd looked at the Horizon website - I was just hoping someone might know if there was a UK stockist. Can't see my local shop willing to put in a US order until there was a sizeable value - not just one iron tip.

Thanks for the "tip" losixxx

Mallet - I just seemed to be going round in circles on the Horizon site.

I'll be running NiMh again in 2010 .... still really can't see an advantage to LiPo until cars are designed around them as all you do is put the weight back in and have to mess around getting them in the car, new chargers yada yada yada ...

Nowt wrong with NiMh ....
