Hi guys,
Just looking for some confirmation really...
I've got a B4 and have been thinking of investing in some alloy rear hubs. I've seen the Rayspeed Blue Alloy hubs that are available that look really smart, and have seen that they come in 0 degree, and 0.5 degree.
My first question is this:
Are the standard B4 rear hubs 0 degree? (I think they are but would like confirmation)
Secondly:
Am I right in thinking that having more degree at the back will generate more rear traction?
If this is the case, am I right in thinking that in normal dry conditions I'd be best to use the 0 degree as a direct replacement to the original... but in low grip conditions like rain or when grass becomes worn and dusty it would be a good idea to go to the 0.5 degree rear hubs to try and improve the handling???
I've ran the B4 on and off for many years and have always just turned up and ran it. However I'm becoming more interested in the mechanics and the physics of what does what and how handling can be improved by adjusting bits on the car. Plus, too many of the guys at my local club at Hinckley are moving to the atomic carbon S2 and CR2 or the new schumacher cougar and so I need to fly the flag for the rear motored buggy's and show em how its done!!!
Thanks, Jon!
