oOps sorry bud - for some reason when someone else makes a thread that I move to the news section, they can no longer reply to it :eh?: not sure why! I think vBulletin is getting confused because the thread is there even though you can't post a thread in there - it's gone NUTS.

Dear Mat North.

I can't finish my application because I don't have my PT number on me, and I can't be bothered to walk to the car to get my BRCA card from my wallet.

Love,

Jon Mack.

PS You are gay and I'm going to beat you at WORM tomorrow, ha ha ha ha ha.

Got my application in the other day and put down the full name of the car (put it down as an 18th when it's now classified as a 16th). Anyway, i put the car down as "LRP Shark ST (RMT?)". Now that's what the full title of the car is, and Cosie asked me "What's the RMT?", now I think we can all guess that the MT stands for Monster Truck, which would make sense, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the R stood for till I saw the box that came with the car, and it makes so much sense now, so, the full title of my car and a lot of other peoples cars is

LRP Shark ST RMT - Race Monster Truck.

I just can't remember what the ST stands for now, not sure I ever knew.

And by the way, due to a discussion over on t'micro forum...

Rule 2.1.2, specifically the rule stating the minimum overall width of a 1/16th scale vehicle has now been changed to the following with immediate effect:

Overall width

Maximum: 209.0mm.

Minimum: N/A

---

All other rules within rule 2.1.2 and the UKMicroX 2010 rules remain the same.

Thanks!!

Entries are still rolling in, had one of the Team oOple entries today :)

Anyone fancy racing 1/18th scale at the event? After the class changes at the EGM it will be nice to see a heat or two of 1/18th scalers!

Get those RC18T/B's, M18T's, Mini-T's and ZT2's out to play!

FYI, CML Distribution have taken delivery of the new "Team" RC18B2/T2 kits and the RRP is only £110(ish) :D

Entries opened on Monday afternoon and in the 4 days since then we have had 52 entry applications :)

Furthest applicant was John Price, until Eddie from Spain sent his entry in!!

Superstar list is filling up nicely, with Jonesy topping that list cos hes just had a baby (well..Mrs.Jonesy has lol) and the 10 Team X-FactoryUK/EXOTEK drivers propping him up there :)

More updates as and when :)

I may have to put my dunces hat on after this post but ive never run in an event like this or a national before,

Is there a specific list of lipo's were allowed to use?? do they have to be hard cased etc

c0sie
02-05-2010, 08:23 PM
Any lipo you like as long as it has a nominal voltage of 7.4v or less :)

Bear in mind though:
1.4.2. LiPo/LiFe batteries may be charged to a maximum voltage per cell of 4.20v for LiPo, and 3.70v for LiFe. Overcharging is a serious hazard and will not be tolerated.

and

1.5. Lithium cells must have a voltage cut-off device set to 6v. This device can be integrated into the ESC or fitted as an external component.

:)

c0sie
12-05-2010, 07:12 PM
I have no idea. There are still 3 months till the meeting, so it could be anywhere within the next 10 weeks depending on if entries are still coming in as the meeting gets closer

UPDATE:

1: MuchMore UK have signed on as event sponsors!

2: The legendary Kris Kennedy has agreed to MC the event! (remember him from UK Micro Challenge 3 guys?)

3: There are still spaces so please dont be afraid to email over your entry forms! I have tried to contact afew more superstars but I think that they are all afraid of the talent that has already entered :p

A large batch of invites will be emailed out this week now that Uni has finished.

Thanks to all those who have accussed me of just inviting the superstars first and forgetting the 'mortals'. True colours and all that :)

And for those of you worried by the lack of "Jimmy oOple" on the entry list, I can confirm that the red-haired snapper will be in attendance :D

c0sie

Hi all,

Just updated the entry list for the event. You can see the entry list by clicking the link below!

http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/ukmicrox2010/entry-list

If you have received an invite but do not see your name on the list then this means you have not confirmed your place at the UKMicroX event.
Please read through the invite email for details of how to confirm your place!

Just a recap for those who havent been reading all the latest event news; we now have Much More UK signed on as a sponsor, im working on a few more companies as well.

Finally the legendary Kris Kennedy has agreed to MC the event finals for us! For those of you who attended the UK Micro Challenge 3 event will no doubt remember his legendary commentary :D

PS: Jimmy oOple, email me your details :D

Will there be a timetable for the day, and if so, when will that be published?

21-07-2010, 08:56 AM
doors open from 07:30

race, drink coffee(thanks to mat), eat sweets(thanks to stu), have fun, get our asses wooped, win lots of goodies (thanks to all sponsers).

finish around 16:30:thumbsup:

c0sie
21-07-2010, 09:06 AM
An offical timetable will be posted after the entry closing date, so sometime next week. Anything other than that is purely speculation :)

c0sie
21-07-2010, 12:54 PM
Provisionally...;

Doors open: 7:30am
Booking in open: 7:40am
Booking in close: 8:10am
Race brief + Concours: 8:20am
Practice starts: 8:50am
Last final finishes: 4:18pm

The event is very much full, so time will be on the essence :)
I have factored in afew gaps for sorting finals, doing the raffle and concours etc but like I said I will email and post an official timetable next week.

Just as a reminder;

1/ Please remember if you have entered the 1/18th 4WD class that you must run wheels with a wheel diameter of <=39mm. That is 39mm on either the inside or outside face....

2/ Please remember that you need to bring your own table! We can supply chairs but no tables. Please also try and share tables where possible. There aint much space with 80 large sweaty people in that hall!

3/ Kris Kennedy will be the MC for the finals, hes a legend and I hope will all enjoy his commentary as much as we did at UK Micro Challenge 3!

4/ Please remember to bring a cup if you want to take advantage of the free coffee and tea. Coffee is supplied with thanks to Mat North and Clifton Coffee :)

5/ Please bring some money for food, im not sure I can work free food into the mix :)

Finally there are still oppertunities for event sponsorship if any manufacturers, companies or distributors are reading this. Please email me for more details!
