As the title says, Round 2 (of 4) of the 2010 SE 4WD Regional Off-road Championships. As per usual there will also be an Open class to cater for drivers from outside the SE Region and those wishing to run a 2WD around. Also if enough turn up there may also be availability for Short Course/Stadium Trucks to run but without scoring points.
To be held at Eden Park Raceway (check out: http://www.edenparkraceway.com/) on Sunday 02 May 2010.
Track WILL NOT open until approx. 08:30 for practice so please DO NOT arrive too early! The track has near neighbours which we do not want upset by excessive early noise, thank you!
See you all there, don't forget FREE entry for ALL Juniors, U13's and U16's, trophies for the top three in both Junior age groups.
Oh and don't forget your 2010 BRCA Membership details please, there may be a check! Membership application forms will be available for non-members to join on the day!
NB Junior trophies from last Sunday's KMRC event will also be presented, just when I've worked out who won what!

Jonesy, dictionary definition = sharp bend in a road or track!
And no it's not quite finished, awaiting delivery of further supplies so almost certainly NOT in use this weekend:thumbdown:
And please don't refer to it as that again, as you well know, it's different and with it's own unique feature!

I won't be there 'cos i'm gay and don't like the rain.... seriously though, there is rain and there is what has been forecast and as i'm not exactly on the doorstep i'm going to stay home and spray another single colour special. That's another point for ya DC
Hope you all have a good day with no blown electrics, roll on 2wd rd1.

Calendarisation is not the sole decision of any one individual but only agreed after a thorough process involving ALL the club and their representatives.
And Round 3 of the 4WD Regional Championship is 20 June at Plough Raceway, which will also be a demonstration event for the clubs landlord!
Rains stopped now.....lets hope it stays that way!

I guess this would have to be discussed with the other clubs in our region and then for Steve to announce.
One of two things could happen. 1 - We loose the round and the championship becomes the best 2 results from 3 rounds. 2 - The round is re-scheduled and the championship stays at best 3 from 4.
Either way, Steve will enlighten us when the time is right :)

Simon's sort of right! Rule 19.3 will apply.
19.3 At abandoned events where less than two rounds of qualifying have been completed, the event will be declared null and void and no results declared. National events will not be re-scheduled and any relevant championship qualification will be reduced accordingly (i.e. if there were 4 rounds to count from 6, then one abandoned event would mean there are 3 rounds to count from 5, etc.).
Regional events can be rescheduled (subject to 6.5, Regional rounds will not be held on the same day as a UK National event.) at the discretion of the Regional Rep. If an event is rescheduled to use a date not originally specified for any Class, then the number of events to count for the Regional Championship in that Class will be reduced accordingly (so it would be 2 from 3!), to allow competitors to achieve the minimum number of events using the original dates only (This means that competitors would not be disadvantaged if the re-arranged date was on a weekend that they could not attend).
If the normal Tie Deciding system of highest points does not achieve a result, then the highest Qualifying position at the last event in the Series for the Class will be used to decide the tie.
Clear!
I'll be looking to work with the EPR Committee and the other participating clubs to re-schedule the event but the 4WD Championship will now be decided on the basis of ANY 2 from 3 to count, i.e. if you can't attend the re-scheduled meeting you will still have the same Championship opportunities of those that can!
Please watch this space for any further announcements:thumbsup:

Righto!
Following consultation with the EPR Committee I can now confirm that the Eden Park Raceway round of the 4WD Regional Championship which was cancelled on 02 May 2010 due to adverse weather has been re-scheduled.
The new date for the EPR round is now SUNDAY 11 JULY 2010:thumbsup:
In-line with the re-arrangement the previously detailed ruling, Rule 19.3 applies.

Scott, this is outside! and more than 2 miles from your house!! Didn't think that met your criteria!!! lol

Yes thats when we were all youthful and cared if we won
in them days thats all that mattered no massive mortgages etc
me and James Clifford have been racing at fav and we are proper close locked wheels etc and no yeilding from both of us but also no contact ,super sporting and and actually very rewarding to either win or lose fairly , just like we used too, you know proper heart in your mouth closeness like the astor/fav provide in abundance
Kev Lee raced up Faversham in the winter and really enjoyed it ( and won )
cheers James

Weird question:confused: Never had that one before!
No restriction just 'cos you weren't there, shame really as only a few of us attended the cancelled meeting, the points opportunities would be massive.....hmmm Regional variation me thinks!
Everybody's welcome, even you Scott!
Shame James can't make it I had a VERY interesting conversation lined up for him!!!

Phew, what a Scorcher!
Great day's racing today guys - thanks - I really enjoyed myself and it was a great tonic - thank you all.
Pitting again as a refugee in Sangat - sorry I mean the Schumacher South camp was hilarious - cheers to Mike and Grant for allowing us to infiltrate the camp:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Great last lap with Poulter in A-3 - I tried to go large but 3WD was not conducive to great acceleration but it was fun trying!
Good Job to EPR all round - especially to the Tom Jones and Ken Block in Race Control.
Cheers fellaz
BTW I heard that Someone got beat by Ross today but I can't remember who it was. Everyone was SO discrete about it, I couldn't fathom who it:woot: was:woot:

Had a great days racing!!! Thanks to the Tom's for running the meeting:thumbsup:
Was in a bit of a state in the am, shocking I know for me, but I was just tired:cry:
Got it going better in the afternoon, and really enjoyed the finals.
Highlight of the day, first round of qualifying, did about 6 corners and crashed, saw Ellis coming as he started after me, waited for him to go through, then drove 10 feet and wiped him out:woot: OOPS SORRY E hehe
Oh I did the same to Mr Carter in the second leg as well, doh, sorry dood.
Note to self, use brakes..........

Crashed after 6 corners...that's not bad.
In the heats I crashed on the very first corner 3 times from 4 and in the final took Ellis out twice, properly. That's really bad.
Note to self......give up :(
