X10 the better backup from the distributer-manufacturer and its british. XX4 front shock tower made of cheese and the wishbones made of ginger bread.:)

sounds like its about even but most people are sayin the x10is better out of the two.
1 question...
where on earth do you get x10 parts in the uk?
jordan
ashleyb4
31-07-2007, 02:23 PM
The xx4 is a faster car though. And also parts for the xx4 are easier to get hold of as not many shops stop t-tech parts where most shops stock losi parts.

i've never seen a pred go that well on really bumpy ground, a bit like the old XXX4.
If your track is bumpy then you would be better off with a xx4, much easier to drive on bumps.
why not consider a different car? the xx4 is long in the tooth and not sure how long spares will be supported. and the pred isn't happy on bumps.

yes but these parts are from the ttech america so it would be a long time after ordering the parts that i actually recieve them plus you can get tax on the parts from over there coming to here.
i would like to buy the x10 for the fact its the cheaper one out of the 2 plus it looks so much more a solid and stronger looking car. apparently its fast and good on bumps aswell.

Pick up the phone and talk to the new guys at Extreme, ask them about the car, and tell them Graham North sent you ;)

i dnot run a x10 and the last pred i hate was 5 odd years ago, but i think i remeber seening a purple and orange one pushing the xx4s around like cray last year and this year at all the national tracks

sorry mate just realised that the ttech website is in GB pounds.
im seriously very tempted to get the X10. ive only every seen one go round my track though... but in all fairness it was chassing championship leader:cool: . and ive just realised parts look verycheap aswell. condsidering i used to race touring cars which are a extremely expensive comodity.

Well, i have both cars - X10 and xx4.
I think it is fair to say that the X10 is stronger. I know i broke less last year running the X10 than i have this year running the xx4.
There lies the clue really - i have both cars, accept that the x10 is stronger, but still cloose to use the xx4.

The xx4 is a quicker car it shows from results phil sleigh, kev lee, tom cockerill, richard taylor are all maknig it easily into A finals with the car and also the only other car to win a national exsept for the aero a1 is the xx4 by darren bloomfield. Shurely this tells you something.

There are to my knowledge 6 X10's running at Nationals, against god knows how many XX-4's, so the odds of the XX-4's being in the A is fairly high.
Yardy puts the Pred in the A often.
G
If you look back at some of your early posts you are asking if you should get a xxx-cr or a b4 then it's a xxx-cr or a b4 or a rb5, then only the other day you are asking about a xxx4. Go back a bit more and you are asking about a d4. Why not put a few more cars on your poll, i haven't seen you ask about a yok bx yet or a bj4.

Think back a few years... A certain Mr Cragg, Mr Bradby, Jamie Booth and Graham Alsop all ran the predators, at the same time the now long in the tooth XX4 was also available. But which do you think was the regular in the A final?
Proof that the fastest car really is the pred, however it maybe didn't have the best sponsorship deals/management at the time...

All running AE as their primary sponsor.
There were rumours around at the time that they wouldn't have been allowed to run a Losi 4WD if they had wanted to.....
I've had Preds, XX4, XXX4 and BJ4.
I always end up back with the XX4 as it is so forgiving.
In the right hands the Pred may be faster, but for the average driver I think the XX4 is the better choice.

:) Jordan, If all else fails speak to Matt Western he's the only one out of 8 of us that have run Preds at Coastal who's still got one, he may be able to help with a set up to suit our track.
Failing that buy 2 ton of top soil and fill in the bumps and ruts and a Pred should be fine!!:)

If you really must know these two lovely young ladies, Brittany on the left & Jessica on the right, are the 'Brolly Dolly's' at Coastal Model Car Racing Club at Ipswich.
Whilst it may be blatant exploitation of the fairer sex, and it may just be coincidence, but attendance has picked up since they were persuaded to pop along occasionally by a club member.:)

:) Now come on guy's nobody can be that gullible, are they? I think it's fair to say if the above was true the members would have been crushed in the rush of visitors to the track.
Anyway to clear things up the name's are correct but these rather attractive young ladies are actually to be found on a website full of similar beauties. I don't think I'm allowed to post a link but if you do a search for Sports by Brooks you'll find them.
Doomanic - Coastal race track is actually in Suffolk, and anyway what's wrong with keeping it in the family? After all in this day and age anything this side of a Mongolian mountain goat appears to be acceptable!:)

It must be the indecision of youth, my 13 year old boy asked for a D4 and no sooner had I built it and he's decided to move to 1/8 truggies, doh!
