Where's the best place to get them? What should I expect to pay for it?

I'm going to look into these soon too, try screwing an RC8 gearbox together!

They are an absolute 1/8 essential. The battery dying or realising I haven't packed my hitatchi at the start of a days 1/8 scale racing is a devastating thing!

I can recommend the bosch Li-ion one i have one with the schumacer/EDS power tips and its great for anything 1/8th related !
This is the one i have http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7110371/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CGarden+and+DIY%7C14418702/c_2/3%7C14418702%7CPower+tools%7C14418763/c_3/4%7Ccat_14418763%7CCordless+drills+and+screwdriver s%7C14418778.htm
If you lookout in Argos/B&Q/Homebase you can usually find these on offer.
The Makita one is awesome but at £150 it's a bit steep.

cannot work out if its just a hex drive thingy or a propper mini chuck, has torque settings, forward & reverse. screwfix also carry it, may be worth a look.

colour to match your wheels :D

A quick note. I now have mine and want to give the thumbs up to hitachi-direct on ebay. Hope thats not breaking any rules? They were the cheapest at 59.95 for delivered db3dl with two li-ion batteries.

Do you need to buy new hex adaptors too to use these things? For eg.. 1.5mm, 2.0mm etc etc..
