[LarryG]

My email is [email protected] It is easier for me to reply to emails than pm's, I replied to one yesterday and it doesn't show in my out box, so may not be doing something correctly, lol....

Last projects for 2010, lol...look forward to 2011. Thanks to all who have supported me this year, it's been fun! I have the first week or so of January booked, open to orders....Happy New Year!!!!!
Starting in January, I will be offering "overnite" service for those in a hurry, of course, like the post office, there will be an upcharge for this, lol. Basically, depending on time of year and workload, I can get the body done and shipped in 24 or 48 hours from the time it arrives here, or if I have it clear in stock. This will pertain mainly to one or two body orders.
Thanks to JConcepts for a great year, my son was able to go to Cali and Arizona for some awesome races.
Thanks to RCDriver, it's been fun!
One thing I learned, is that if you find someone in this industry that actually does what they say they are going to do, work on keeping that relationship! It's pretty scarce............

Really awsome work, I will definately ask you for a shell or two very soon.

There was another great painter a while back, his name was Josh Theil. He did most of the stuff for rc car action back in 2000. I was lucky enough to have him do a couple for me. Don't know what happened to him, kind of disapeared.

Do you ever sleep ?

I've never seen anyone knock out so much good work ! It's not like they're all simple designs either, you must be one of the hardest working painters on here !

[The Chef]

I really love the iron fronted truck with the torn roof and skulls nside! Do you just do designs or do people tell you what they would like?

Top work. If i can get 2 colours on a car with out bleeding I'm doing well. Top Job.

[LarryG]

Hey guys, thanks for looking!!!!

Yeah, I try to sleep, lol, but stay hard at it, so I don't fall behind. It's worth it when I can take a week off for an out of state race like the week before last!

Sometimes I just wing it, like the one you mention, I had no idea what I was going to do until I actually just starting doing it. Other times it is repeat schemes. Other times customers tell me what they are looking for and let me go by their description, and add what I feel it needs.

How do you get the checks so sharp?

[LarryG]

Thank you!!!! I appreciate it!!!!!

On the checkers, and all lines, very light coats to seal in the mask so when you pull the next set of mask, it doesn't lift the paint

How do you guys get such perfect window frames? is it cut by hand or is there another trick that you could share? Do you use pre cut/vinal masking kits or is it all fast mask and imagination? Any insight would be most helpful.

I love the orange skull flames:thumbsup:

The layout becomes easier the more you do

And you do a lot, about 5 a day is it ? You must be going some to get that many done each day though. How many hours are you working do you think ?

Also, what paints are you using ? Is it water based or solvent based ? You must have about 5 airbrushes on the go, all loaded with colour, then you just go between each work station coating each one up until they're all done !

Great work, so cool to see the sheer volume you produce to !

[LarryG]

Thank you! I use water based and solvent based, and have 3 brushes going at once. I usually do 5 to 10 a day, some stuff I am not allowed to take pictures of. 5 a day is usually a 6 hour work day, I have put in 12 hour days plenty of times, lol

See that's even more amazing. I'd put in 10 hour days regularly when I was painting crash helmets with solvent based that is much quicker drying than water based and still get no where... My longest day was a 53 hour one... I got the job out and to the photoshoot on time though :wtf::bored: It was barely worth it.

I'm impressed with 5 in 6 hours though. Good going :thumbsup::thumbsup:
