Photo renaming software

[PaulUpton]

I'm looking for some photo renaming software (and prefably a resizer at same time) that is capable of batch renaming photos in a random number order.

Basically want something that can rename photos in the order of 3, 4, 5, 6, 29, 13, 11 etc in batches of 32???

acdsee has the ability to batch rename - but as for randomly, I'm not sure. :eh?:

Batch resize, batch convert etc, think that will be easy to find. Random change to file name you may be looking for a 'script' or some sort of macro or something to do it, you may need someone with programming skills.

or......http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk or..... http://www.filerenamer.net both seem to be able to reference a spreadsheet to rename files, http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=602 not sure if I understand it, but these 2 were just a quick search

http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/renamers/Batch_Rename_Picture_Files_Tools_Tips.htm may be useful, 1-4a rename has reference to '<#r> Insert random number (no duplicate numbers will be generated'. should keep you busy for a bit , interesting (I did a disc backup a few years ago that resulted in a lot of files having the same time/date - keep meaning to revisit that one)

Easy Thumbnails - link (http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/) - will allow you to rename and resize photos at the same time. However, it will only allow sequential numbering as far as I know.
