Whenever i go to, i can never be bothered to join a team, so i tell them in advanced that i am goining and they normally sort me out into a team on the day. But it is really good as normally the teams have a variety of people in so there is some good and some not so good drivers giving a little competition between one or two teams. So you end up not caring how well you are doing but end up having a rivalry with just a couple of teams making it even more enjoyable.:)

If everyone plans on entering on the day expect a very long day. Its MUCH easier to enter a team than for him to sort it on the day. Even if you enter part a team it will make the race directors job much easier, and when you do enter try and have as many as crystals as possible, don't just tell him your favourite ones.

The way it used to work was essentially two events at the same time. The touring track ran one and the other was on the off road track. So the the times and cars between the two are completely seperate.

Ye, the difference in quality between the 'budget' class 10.5 motors and the modified ones (like 5.5 ect) is huge, there not well built and are stupidly sensitive to gearing.

Have you seen the cheap ones? if it was rebuildable then i wouldnt have had to send it back as its just a solid can, the motors work, dont get me wrong and there quick as far as 10.5 BL motors go but there just not up to the spec nosram/LRP are normally up to, they make them like this as to reduce the cost but because the 10.5 superstock class is probably going to be the biggest TC class this year the motors dont match up to the build quality and reliability of the more expensive motors. I was running a FDR of 6.9 and yes it got hot but i was lead to believe they can take a decent range of gearing, seems most can except these ones.

Anyway, this is running slightly off track, i am entering offroad anyway :D

Yes to clarify the on road fast lads will be racing at the same time as the off road hurry up and finish the race "how many times did i marshall ya car lads" :D. and no i dont own a set of tyre warmers, Im old school i use a lighter to warm them up ;)

cheers josh. I will be setting off at 8:10am so will probably get there about 8:30am or somthing like that. I am currently charging a couple of sets of cells. I either these cells are miles better that the capacity given on the label or my charger is broken but my 3800 were getting 4600mah and rising. But i personally go for the first option as i would rather buy soem more cells than another charger. :D

I think you may have to have a certain amount of people in a team, but i am un-sure. All i know is that it is a little easy when there a few people in your team, rather than having like three pepole in your team, you could have 5 - 6 people giving people a bit longer to do other things.

Josh i don't think you have ever driven during a race with the bridge on the track before so you would think that it isn't that special. But the best part i think is when a car gets stuck under-neath somebody nedd to quickly go under-neath with a broom to get the car out. Ahh good times.:D:rolleyes:

Haha i think we all know who won....:p And also it was for charity so i don't know if theres going to be money spent on a trophy, there was a raffle instead and all will have gone to charity aswell im guessing. Was awsome anyways though :D bit of a problem with people messing around with crystals though, i had glitches in my last 2 runs and my car took its wheel off down the straight in the last 5 mintues of the race :( Good job it was only the Eclip that got all the stress somehow and came off, nothing broken or worn :) Weldone to everyone who helped and participated.

Thanks teesside for a great event good track. shame we couldnt use the on road track aswell. I dont think i could get out of the pit lane without crashing:p But i finished all my runs. Think the best i got was just over 16 minutes on a singe pack of cells:D

Seriously though, a superb drive by both teams 5 and 8 to take first and second and my personal hard luck award to team 7 who lost out to us by 1 lap after 6 hours of racing. Roll on next year..:D
