You know, the first thing I heard about all this blowing up was when someone pm'ed me on here saying I'd pist off Cosie. I had no idea what he was talking about, but checked his forum to see if he'd posted anything there, and sure enough, a rant aimed in my direction, rather than contacting me directly, and the usual suspects joining in in slagging me off.

I don't want to say too much right now, and am just seeing how things play out at the mo'.

Im interested to hear why on earth you registered the domain name uk-microrc.com back in April 2010?

You have been a member of the UK-MicroRC forum since August 2006, only 18 months after the forum was created, and you are fully aware that the domain name for that forum is uk-microrc.co.uk. You are also well aware that UKMicroRC is often used to describe and discuss my forum.

I wasnt actually aware that you were the registrant of the .com domain name until today, I have been waiting for years for that domain to become free and its been registered to you since April 2010. In that time you have done nothing productive with the domain at all other that load up a really bad looking and unfinished website on to it before removing it recently, so obviously you have no genuine need for the domain?

Im very interested to hear your rationale behind buying the domain name. You must have known at the time of purchase that the domain name itself was exactly the same as the domain name I use on the "micro forum"? I personally believe that you deliberately bought the domain name purely to stop me from buying that name and registering it to myself, another feather in your cap on your campaign towards me?

Exactly, working in this industry every day you see plenty of people buying domain names nothing to do with them. If the UK Micro place was a shop and Sarah had bought the domain to redirect then i could see it slightly differently, jack diddly you can do about making someone to transfer a domain. If she had posted up pictures of you which were inappropriate or slagging you off directly then yes maybe, until then nothing at all.

All this for a toy car website, its not even affecting anyones personal livelehood/business/income...i use the micro forum a lot, and its a great resource. The shops on there have had good trade out of me as well, which I would not have known about had it not been for the micro forum. I found out about the micro forum by word of mouth,and googled it when I got home, and still found it okay as the first result!

Not sure why we are now on page 4 of this rather rediculous thread, when it could quite easily have been resolved in a quick and non public PM. :thumbdown:

I'm pist at what Cosie did on his forum rather than him doing the right thing and contacting me directly, isn't that what he's always saying when other people have a problem?

We're never going to like each other, but I know for my part, I was at least trying not to have a go at everything he said, and I think the same could be said for him. Remember, I bought this domain name nearly 18 months ago, and really hadn't done anything with it, Cosie was the one that made it an issue.


I'm affraid after reading on over the last four pages of Dog Poo posts, i Do have to say the problem seems to be not so much the publically available info was shared on public forum but that fact you've seen your arse about getting caught out.

If the whole shop thing was the reason for the domain name why was this not brought forward on your first post in stead of pages later...Did you need time to think it up.! Did you forget you wanted to start an on line shop? As a police detective myself some thing smells rather fishy about all this and thats not inuendo speaking.

By all account as mentioned before we're not talking Mcrosoft.com domain name here, This is a forum which is none profit tool for the uk micro racers, there's nothing big or clever about holding on to a domain name which wont make you any money, in a sence its costing you 20 odd quid a year......for what i might ask? and before you answer try make it different to "Cosie @"$£$ me off". its getting boring now.

I wont be the only person to think or mention the fact that this forum your posting on is hugh, Global as it where and your shop name is all over the title? I think the only mode you should be in right now is "Damage Limitation" as this is massivley bad PR by your self! Like I said earlier, it was well over a year ago, but yeah, I thought registering the dot com and using it simply to list micro stuff would be a good idea, and if it did annoy cosie, then that was just a bonus - I really wasn't going to worry about whether it upset him or not. It's a common practice, it might not the most popular thing to do with some people, but it happens.

Yes I'm annoyed at cosie for posting my details on an open forum, they're still there for all to see.

Not once has he apologised for that, not once has he asked in a civil way for the domain to be transferred.

As for it costing me money, I paid for the domain name for 2 years at the time, and paid for 1 year's hosting, which I let run out. I'd have most likely let the domain run out too.

I've offered to put up a holding page, with a link to the micro forum, which would also have a link to my website, and to any other micro website or shop that wanted to be listed, but he said no. I realise that I've done something that has upset some people, I also realise that others are happy that I've done what I've done as they've had run ins with him too and don't have a very high opinion of him.

What Cosie has done, is scream and shout and throw his toys out of his pram, when all he had to do was act in a civil way. I understand he might be annoyed at the situation, but he's only mad 'cos he found out it was me that owned the domain name. He's seen the page that was there before, but did he try finding out who the domain name owner was and making contact?

btw he said that he was warned about letting me join the micro forum, but he was happy enough to take money of me to have a sub forum for the shop wasn't he.

Yes, my details are available on the internet, but you have to go looking for them. you did that and you published them, would you like me to publish your personal address details? I see you've kept them hidden on your whois page, but I'm sure if I took the time to look I could find them and list them for all to see.

I was getting all "arsey" as you put it, as you phoned me out of the blue, starting getting all aggressive and threatening, and I was on my way out, I didn't have the time to deal with your crap.

Your behaviour in this manner is completely unnaceptable, and it's not the first time that you've done something like this. The number of people lining up to tell me to screw you over in this is growing by the day, and that just shows that the way you treat people is the same way a school yard bully treats people, yes you have your hangers on, but so does that bully. The reason I suggested the holding page idea, was that I don't trust you. I sell you the domain, you remove the offending posts, but then there's no guarantee that they remain deleted. I was willing to compromise for the sake of the micro section, but you just want to get your jollies by making jokes, while your so called friends get even browner tongues.

I've tried Matt, but it's just impossible trying to compromise with him, right now I feel like saying the price is for him to get down on his knees and pucker up to kiss my rear end, but that's just to try and get a laugh out of this.

Having followed this since the beginning on here. What seemed like a simple enough situation to remedy, has become impossible I guess.
While Sarah has done nothing wrong, she seems to be the target of a hate campaign by fellow members/micro racers. Before you say, she did this, she did that blah blah, she registered a domain name, full stop!! This, she is LEGALLY entitled to do. Her reasons for doing so are hers, and hers alone. As previously posted, this happens every day. It is also common for a third party to miss out on a domain that he/she has wanted. When an opportunity arises for said third party to gain the domain to which he has sort, you would not expect the barrage of negativity from this party, or those that stand behind them/him.

An offer was made to gain the domain, with terms/conditions. This was not taken up. In fact, all that I see on here is cyber-bullying!! If anyone disagrees with this term, look it up!

A sad fact is, that a chairman chose not to discourage this type of tactic. Someone in this position should lead by example, and leave the dirt in the gutter.

Base line, (A) has something (B) wants. (A) offers (B) item with terms and/or conditions. (B) either accepts or not. (B) chose not to accept. So item stays with the legally entitled holder.
So why the constant barrage?

As for damage limitation, again, it’s not your place to decide what another party should do. Plus you have now openly targeted Sarah with that statement. Would not the bad PR affect the micro world based on that its very own “chairman” is the other party in all of this?
As an alleged officer of the law (which I sincerely doubt), do you normally affirm an instruction to a individual whereby he/she is to HAND OVER that of which is legally his or hers? I was not aware the NWPH conducted their selves in this manor.

In fact, it would be argued that you are indeed defending your “Rep” as he put it, by the willingness to part with the domain name. All be it with terms/conditions, which as we all know is common practice with any type of transaction.
