Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of putting on a 2 day event possibly 16/17 June
The surface will be Grass with man made features, to make up a track. Classes: 1/10 electric off road, 2wd, 4wd, stadium truck, and short course.
Camping will be available from the Friday evening at the small nominal charge throughout the weekend. With on site food, and drink.
If I can get enough interest then I'll start making arrangements.
Thanks,
Matt

I would be very interested in 4wd, just need to know dates first. Grass tracks are just great fun (like the old days) perhaps ill get the classic Avante out and relive my youth.

BTW if anyone is interested that is on grass so pop along some time and get some practice in before Matts event

Once the Mid South regionals have been released I will confirm a date for the event.
Tyres: Schumacher Minispikes and Ballistic Buggy any compound.
I have a couple of venues for a temporary track lined up but I hope to be able to confirm a permanent venue.

This will bring back memories form my youth at West Drayton. If there is no clashes with regionals (mid south), then count me and my boy in, both 2wd and 4wd.
Cann't beat a weekend under canvas and old school racing.
Bring it on :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I think this is a GREAT idea, Matt (not sure about name :woot:), I love the grass stuff. To answer an earlier question, I think there aren't many grass tracks left due to our great predictable weather!

I second this, I went to the last meeting at Hinckley last summer and it was a great day. There was a BBQ going, great racing, a VERY relaxed atmosphere and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect place to get some practice on the green stuff!

We do try and make it as off road as possible when running the indoor meetings.

Brill, best dig out the tent and see if I can remember how it goes together. I wish I still had my old Boomerang with pink bodyshell (only can of paint in the shop ) that ran at West Drayton with the biggest spikes around.
Count me and the boy in Matty

Just a quick update, we've located a temporary venue in the Milton Keynes area, however we are in the final states of discussions over what could be a permanent venue. We should know more in the next week, once everything is finalised we'll open booking in.
This will be a two day event on grass just two weeks before the Oswestry national, which is also a grass track, hopefully we will be able to attract some of the Uk's finest drivers!
