Hi I have a old yokomo mr4 tc same as below

http://www.rctech.net/reviews/review_mr4tcspecial_graphics/pic1.jpg

I have been looking to buy a newer chassis to start racing.
But wanted to no if this chassis would still be any good. ??
Have been on ebay and still can get some parts.

Can any one tell me if they had one ??
Was it any good ??
Can you get adjustable shocks??
Could it fit a brushless motor and lipo batterys ??

Any help would be great thanks

get your self a good ezrun brushless system, some lipos, and a pt. you'll need to make a lipo mod for it as the chassis was made for standard battery packs.
you best get a good servo saver on there to.

when i had mine, i swopped the spur gear for an 84 wich was made for the mx4 off road buggy. you'll find you'll get a bit more pork out of corners this way especially if your brushless.

hope this helps.

For the lipo to fit you would need to remove some of the chassis with a dremel, not a difficult job.

I had an MR4TC pro ( in fact I've still got it with a load of spares, although make me a reasonable offer and I would be willing to part with it ). It came with adjustable shocks and everything, but I'd imagine TC shocks are of similar build so most you could find will fit. PM me if you're interested.

No its pretty easy to do the lipo mod.

remove the standard battery holder & bracket there are 2 screws located underneath the car holding this in place.

now place a lipo stick pack in the battey place and mark 2 holes either end of it (you will need 2 battery posts for this) you should now be able to drill the 2 3mm holes at either end of the chasis.

after the holes are drilled, screw the battery posts to the chasis and drop the lipo in. To hold the lipo in place, you will need to purchase a battery bar for the yokomo sd (carbon version).

depending on what lipo you use you may need to fit 4mm spacers under the battery posts to raise them.

As for shocks i would go for a set of sd shocks or just rebuild the standard ones that came with the MR4

hope this helps best of luck

P.S pm for more information
