I want to buy a nice Esc. Probably an LRP or Speed Passion. I need one for a Losi 22 (so space is important) and one for an FS2.

Just wanted peoples thoughts about the benefits/problems of certain Escs. What do off-roaders generally use. Most people never go down past 6.5 / 5.5 so is it worth buying a TC spec or a no-limits tekin that you are not likely to ever use.

Just wanted people 'critical' analysis of certain Escs -
Like:

Size
Mounting the power cap
Soldering it (what are the connectors like)
Warrenty
Buying an extra box that you have to up and download settings (appears a rip-off to me)
Can I plug the Escs into my laptop?

Is there a clear choice of Esc that is an easy decision to make.

Really appreciate any advice. Don't want to spend it on the 'wrong' Esc

Thanks

Get a Tekin rs/rs pro if you need a small esc, got a rs pro fitted in my TLR22 only got it coz it's nice and small. The rs has a 7.5 motor limit and the rs pro has a 2.5 motor limit. I normally use a 6.5 in my 22 so needed the pro

I thought a few people would recommend the Tekin RS pro due to the size. But they are quiet expensive compare to the other options out there. I guess I should have put something about the budget

As that would mean I would need two Tekin RS pros costing £400 which is a little too much. I keep thinking about second hand LRP Spheres. Maybe I should look for a pair of them on the cheap.

Now I have checked the Speed Passion website and found out about the Revention Series line of new Escs. that look uber cool and have spec to match

Has anyone tried one yet?
Who stocks and sells them?
When they due for release?

I run an LRP SXX TC in my 22. I purchased it s/h from Oople for about £70. All the setting are on there lowest with a 7.5, and it's nice and smooth. Plus you don't need a box or adaptor to alter the settings. Would you actually notice the difference spending more and buying the latest new?
