Has it got paperwork boss ?

burgie 24-10-2008 12:51 PM

i would be much more interested in seeing the rest of the mini in the top picture!

Rich D 24-10-2008 12:53 PM

Are those two huge turbos for show ? 385 HP doesnt sound much for a twin turbo 5.7 V8 :eh?:

Amazing bit of engineering but by god you would look a complete cock driving round in it! :woot:

JCJC 24-10-2008 12:58 PM

Allways.....knew the batcave was in Warrington, see there a a few declined offers - local jokers ?

ben 24-10-2008 12:58 PM

Steel rims. Stolen off a corsa?:eh?: :o I reckon the bodywork is made from cardboard :woot:

burton 24-10-2008 01:27 PM

You can have Turbos mounted at the end of the exhaust system. Its suppose to be better but I think Lag would still be a issue, I have seen it done to a E60 M5

Bear in mind that this is a US V8 not a European V8 that would be alot higher to start with.

mark christopher 24-10-2008 01:48 PM

there dummy turbo's no boost pipes fitted to carb

can not be road legal either, too many bits wrong

Northy 24-10-2008 01:53 PM

Why can't it be road legal Mark?

I could get it through an SVA test :woot:

If those turbo's were real, you'd smell the burning flesh, out at sea :o

eda 28-10-2008 01:07 PM

Looks like the BAT car didn't sell. Think I would have taken the £70,000 offered.
Bet the guy who offered 99p is gutted!

b4rs 28-10-2008 05:20 PM

hmmm something seems strange bout it, i wouldnt hnd over £100,000 id rather build a part crosser/ part rc track indoors.

plus, surely, does no one agree theyd rather have the new batmobile form the dark night? its frikkin immense, and it works.

It looks like a Z-Cars bike engined one. At least I hope it is (or something equally rear engined / RWD and mental).

Oh and the "Batmobile" is abso-bloody-lutely hideous. If anyone paid more than a few thou for it they need to see a brain doctor quick. I hope to god their wife doesn't find out about it or they may also need to see a medical specialist who can sew testicles back on too .

Lee 28-10-2008 06:01 PM

The chances are if you bought a batmobile, you currently do not have a girlfriend, it is a penis extension for a retard

ive seen a mini like that, but it was a super saloon/hot rod at layhams farm, it has an r1 bike engine it, completely space framed chassis with a mini shell p[lonked on top, cost him £7000:bored:

terry.sc 28-10-2008 06:33 PM

It was built at Z Cars, that's why the minis are there.

Cost him £150,000 and it's nowhere near road legal. It made the local news http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....ream_a_reality including a little plug for his business so he's got some return on his investment.

traffman 28-10-2008 07:06 PM

I thought z cars rebuilt dastun z cars from the early to mid seventies?
Fair doos for a lot of work gone into building it , but id rather have black 360 challenge stradale to be honest.
Also having the turbo closer to the exit for the exhaust means theres loadsa cooling so the turbos far more efficient, no need to modify the rest of the engine.

any performance car will have its turbo as near as possible to the engine, you get better spin up and less lag, fail to see how you think its more effcient

Yep, like what he said - I'm no expert but having the impeller so far away must induce chronic lag unless the revs are constantly kept high enough to keep it spooled up. Plus I bet the local Kwik Fit fitter'd shat himself if it came in for a new silencer .

racingdwarf 28-10-2008 09:57 PM

I just love the VW beetle front wheels c/w chrome caps. £150.000 well spent, full flavor behavior
