xx-4 any day

Northy 31-07-2007 01:43 PM

Or X10...... ;)

Ok, some pro's of the X10:

It's very very fast on UK tracks. Is that enough? :D

vader 31-07-2007 01:51 PM

which ever car you get be happy with your choice

millzy 31-07-2007 01:51 PM

strong

front wishbines are shit unless you have that mod screw that jessy roberts runs and that yellow hardener stuff in the triangle section

footey 31-07-2007 01:59 PM

x10 easyer to work on than the xx4 looks nicer lol:)

Spencer Mulcahy 31-07-2007 02:05 PM

X10 the better backup from the distributer-manufacturer and its british. XX4 front shock tower made of cheese and the wishbones made of ginger bread.:)

X10 is much stronger than a xx4. I very very rarely broke my ETQ and thats old enough for a pension!

greeny 31-07-2007 02:23 PM

sounds like its about even but most people are sayin the x10is better out of the two.

1 question...

where on earth do you get x10 parts in the uk?

jordan

ashleyb4 31-07-2007 02:23 PM

The xx4 is a faster car though. And also parts for the xx4 are easier to get hold of as not many shops stop t-tech parts where most shops stock losi parts.

I prefere the X10 and drive a xx4 (yes i had a x10), go figure. :D

ashleyb4 31-07-2007 02:27 PM

Also there must be a very very good reason why almost half the people at nationals are running the xx4. and not the x10???

A

greeny 31-07-2007 02:35 PM

true ive neva found a predator parts stockist.

A

strobe 31-07-2007 02:55 PM

Greeny. Personally i would wait a couple of months and get a B44. DC Racing advertising for £210.

greeny 31-07-2007 03:04 PM

i cant wiat as i havent got a car currently.

jordan

millzy 31-07-2007 03:06 PM

get a cheap second hand one and save up some more for the the b44

ive sene cheap x10 entry level types on fleebay

Northy 31-07-2007 03:07 PM

Predator parts are available in the UK straight from the manufacturer, team xtreme.

G

ashleyb4 31-07-2007 03:12 PM

Im not going to argue with you G it aint worth falling out over in my view the xx4 is the quicker car.

A

greeny 31-07-2007 03:12 PM

ive just been on the xtreme website... and looked but it only seems to be one page. if i was to order some parts would i have to ring with the part numbers and pay over the fone.

jordan

jim76 31-07-2007 03:15 PM

i've never seen a pred go that well on really bumpy ground, a bit like the old XXX4.
If your track is bumpy then you would be better off with a xx4, much easier to drive on bumps.

why not consider a different car? the xx4 is long in the tooth and not sure how long spares will be supported. and the pred isn't happy on bumps.

strobe 31-07-2007 03:16 PM

try hear: http://ttechracing.com/
Click on shop. Bottom left

greeny 31-07-2007 03:25 PM

yes but these parts are from the ttech america so it would be a long time after ordering the parts that i actually recieve them plus you can get tax on the parts from over there coming to here.

i would like to buy the x10 for the fact its the cheaper one out of the 2 plus it looks so much more a solid and stronger looking car. apparently its fast and good on bumps aswell.

jordan

Northy 31-07-2007 03:28 PM

Team xtreme bought ttech racing and are in the process of setting up a new website.

The shop on the old ttech site should still work, but you could pick up the phone, the guys there are really helpfull and knowledgeable and don't bite :D :D

The ttech america shop was actually run from the UK ;)

Pick up the phone and talk to the new guys at Extreme, ask them about the car, and tell them Graham North sent you ;)

i dnot run a x10 and the last pred i hate was 5 odd years ago, but i think i remeber seening a purple and orange one pushing the xx4s around like cray last year and this year at all the national tracks

greeny 31-07-2007 03:33 PM

sorry mate just realised that the ttech website is in GB pounds.

im seriously very tempted to get the X10. ive only every seen one go round my track though... but in all fairness it was chassing championship leader:cool: . and ive just realised parts look verycheap aswell. condsidering i used to race touring cars which are a extremely expensive comodity.

jordan

MattW 31-07-2007 05:39 PM

Well, i have both cars - X10 and xx4.

I think it is fair to say that the X10 is stronger. I know i broke less last year running the X10 than i have this year running the xx4.

There lies the clue really - i have both cars, accept that the x10 is stronger, but still cloose to use the xx4.

ashleyb4 31-07-2007 05:59 PM

The xx4 is a quicker car it shows from results phil sleigh, kev lee, tom cockerill, richard taylor are all maknig it easily into A finals with the car and also the only other car to win a national exsept for the aero a1 is the xx4 by darren bloomfield. Shurely this tells you something.

A

GRIFF55 31-07-2007 06:02 PM

That could, only slightly, be due to their thumbs!

didn't Richard Taylor switch to the xxx4? :o

ashleyb4 31-07-2007 06:28 PM

Yea for the euro's doesnt mean he will be switching for nationals etc.

If you give them a tamiya desert gator i have a feeling they wouldnt be in the A.

A

greeny 31-07-2007 06:40 PM

everyone vote on the poll please i need to make a decision soon lol.

jordan

Northy 31-07-2007 06:42 PM

There are to my knowledge 6 X10's running at Nationals, against god knows how many XX-4's, so the odds of the XX-4's being in the A is fairly high.

Yardy puts the Pred in the A often.

matt 31-07-2007 07:02 PM

If you look back at some of your early posts you are asking if you should get a xxx-cr or a b4 then it's a xxx-cr or a b4 or a rb5, then only the other day you are asking about a xxx4. Go back a bit more and you are asking about a d4. Why not put a few more cars on your poll, i haven't seen you ask about a yok bx yet or a bj4.
