Recommendation for next buggy???
I'm going into the 1/10th 2wd buggy Market and as my first buggy is a thunder tiger, I'd like to get something thats a trust worthy and top brand. What's anyones thoughts????
|
B4! loved mine!
|
Get the B4.1 brushless RTR very good value and competative straight out of the box!
|
thats what I started with
|
RB5 .... simply the easiest to drive and most robust rear motored 2wd buggy I have ever driven and I've been doing this since the 80s!
|
b4,1 easilly as it has the best back up for spares.

B4.1 (did anyone mention that yet?) :p
|
Is the B4.1 team associated? Also are team losi or Schumacher any good in comparison to the ones mentioned so far?
Also money's no object when it comes to buying a new toy:) |
IMO the b4 has had it's day. I still have one but can't wait to get rid I the new year. It's all about mid motored cars. To me, proof of this is cml team driver Tom yardy currently testing the S2. If cml are having to test their own mid motored car as associated don't make one, they clearly feel this is the future of 2wd, and not the b4

If you can wait to February, the Losi 22 looks great - a used B4 would get you going in the meantime, but I wouldn't buy a new one with the Losi on the horizon.
If the Ansmann X Pro can still be found for £80, its a good deal, as there are 2 mid-motor conversions available for it. |
B4 all the way, although the new Ansmann X2C looks quite interesting (out early next year)

Thanks guys. I'm liking the sound of the mid drive and Losi 22. Is there any thing British on the Market?

So now I think I know what car to go with next the b4.1 or losi 22. Where's best for racing as I live in Worksop from Friday to Sunday and when at work from Monday to friday I'm up RAF Leeming near catterick? Please help?

As for where to race, there is the worksop series... http://www.racing-cars.com/images/pd...m_20010-11.pdf |
The new Losi looks good, and you can run either mid or rear motor so best of both worlds.. Should be reasonably priced too
But if you find a good B4 it will be more than enough to get you going if you're wanting to get into racing, good parts availability and plenty of folk have run them so there is plenty of advise & setups on tap should you need it :) |
This Losi 22 is sounding more and more awesome think I've already bought it without actually looking at one yet :) but then there's a shadow of B4 coming in.

Q: What nationality is it then? |
Quote:
Because the current designer is British? |

Since when is Durango a UK company? Who according to you is the designer then? |

Seems to me that Adam Skelding is doing the designs now. |
That's a funny joke
|
Errm I have to admit, from what I know the unit in leicestershire is just the UK importer, I think dingo is baised in europe somewhere
|
Yeah, nowhere near UK owned or designed, I'm certain Adam has an input in the design of the cars, but I'm pretty sure Gerd and Vollmer are still the designers.
|
what about a nice Cat SX like the one I have for sale :D
