Hiya All,

There have been some great entries so far, but feedback from some entrants is that they have struggled to get their report submitted in time for the deadline. Following discussion with JConcepts it has been agreed that so as to offer the best opportunity to all potential entrants, the deadline has been extended until January 12th. We realise that the competition has been cut to quite a short deadline so far, so we feel that extending this is in everyones best interests.

For those of you who have been struggling to come up with any ideas please remember this is all in the name of fun, the report is personal to you and what you think will work best. It doesn't have to be based on anything else that you have seen here on oOple or on any other websites, use your own ideas and creativity. And it's not always size that matters!

This new deadline should give you a few extra weekends to work with, and hopefully with a little time to relax over the festive period some good ideas might come to mind. Remember there are some awesesome prizes up for grabs here, so what have you got to lose?

Good luck everyone,
oOple
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I think entry to the clash isn't really that big a deal. If you can afford several hundred pound for flights and accommodation then having to pay for clash entry not so important.

I'm certainly glad the competition is extended. Gives me time to get current one right or maybe even submit a different one :D

You need to compress your images:-

Select the first image in the document and go to format > picture. Then in the pop up window press the compress button and put a check next to "apply to all pictures in document". Then ok, and apply.

Julie is working on a Word document for her mum, and it's too big due to the pictures, but there is no compress option. Any ideas?

What version is it?

You could try going to file> save as> then in the save as window try tools and see if the option is in there.

You can do it manually by resizing each image (smaller) before inserting them in the document. But the easiest way would be to put it on a memory stick and load it on a pc with Word 2003 or later and then compress and save it.

Just resize the picture files themselves and re-insert them into Word. Search "infranview" if you need a program to resize. Just hit "ctrl-r" once the file is open in the program and select a new size, then save the file. Viola.
